Biography: Dr. Gilbert Wong is the Executive Director of the Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management – the Executive Education and Management Consultancy arm of the Faculty of Business & Economics at HKU – and an associate professor at the School of Business at the University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Wong teaches courses on Organizational Behavior, Strategic Human Resource Management, Research Methods and Comparative Management in post-graduate and executive programs. He has been elected as one of the ‘best teachers of the year’ in the MBA program for three times in recent years. As a member of the Convening Group and a member of the Management Committee, Dr. Wong help launched the Center for Asian Entrepreneurship and Business Values (CASEBV) in 2006. His recent work includes more than 20 major management case studies in Hong Kong, China and Japan.
Dr. Wong has undertaken extensive executive education and management consultancy work for large companies and major public organizations in Hong Kong and multinational corporations internationally. A partial list of his clients include HSBC, PCCW, China Light and Power, Textile Alliance Ltd., China Minsheng Bank, Citicorp, HK Stock Exchange, DHL, Bass Hotel Resorts, Modern Terminals Ltd., Cathay Pacific Airways, HAECO (HK Aircraft Engineering Corp) and the Hong Kong Government (Social Welfare Department, Labor Department, the Education and Manpower Bureau and others departments).
