Backed by China’s Ministry of Education and Italy’s Ministry of Education, three world-famous universities, that is, Fudan University, University of Bocconi and Luiss University, joined hands to launch the program in September of 2006. The program provides all-English courses.

Fudan

Founded in 1905, Fudan is now a top-level comprehensive university in China, As its motto goes: “broad scope, perseverant will, pertinent questioning, and profound thinking,” Fudan is dedicated to incubate high-quality talents for modern China.

As the first university to set up MBA education system in China, Fudan was one of the first institutions of higher education which had restored the management education after China started the reform and open-up policy. Always actively exploring possibilities of cooperation with famous universities both domestically and globally, Fudan has so far established long-term collaborative relationship with dozens of top-level universities in the world. Meanwhile, It has a network of dozens of well-known enterprises inside and outside China who have built up long-term cooperation with the university.

Bocconi

As an independent university in such internationalized circumstances as today, University of Bocconi is devoted to the construction and development of economics, management, law, among other disciplines. Upon its foundation, Bocconi had established its own school motto of being innovative, pragmatic and academically free. The university has been always applying the motto into practice, along with its effort to push forward the development of separate disciplines.

Now, more than 45,000 students have graduated from Bocconi, most of who are playing an important role in companies, schools and other organizations around the world. As a proof of Bocconi’s success, the graduates are able to land a job within three months on average off campus, mirroring a high level of recognition by the society.

Luiss

Luiss, an abbreviative term for “Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli,” found its roots in a training project for entrepreneurs and civil servants, and was only a small-sized private university set up in 1977 by a group of state-owned enterprises, private companies and banks. It has three schools – economic management, law and political science, offering degrees in B.A.’s (lauree triennali), MBA’s and MSC’s (lauree magistrali), doctoral education, as well as other post-graduate and continuation education courses.

One of Luiss’ outstanding features is the fact that, it has built up close ties with enterprises. For example, Confindustria, the federation of Italian industries, is one of its main shareholders. In addition, Luiss partners with 200-plus other Italian companies, associations and multinationals, as a way to ensure its students an ample space of turning their learning into practices.

 

Degree conferring

The program is for Master of Science degree. After completing all the required courses, thesis and internships, the students will be awarded Fudan University Master’s degree of Management, and Italian Master’s degree of International Management (issued by Bocconi or Luiss university).

 

Program Features

Cross-cultural study & all-English teaching environment

Two-and-half-year duration & double master’s degree

The program is of two-and-half-year duration. Upon completion of necessary courses required, the students are to be awarded with Fudan University Master’s degree of Management, and Italian Master’s degree of International Management.

Free tuition & high scholarships*

The Chinese students in this program are free of any tuition. Additionally, they are expected to achieve high scholarship during their study period in Italy, to pay for their living expenses.

Admission

Fudan University runs the admission procedure of Chinese students, and Bocconi University and Luiss University run the procedure of international students respectively.

Number of enrollment

2009-2011: 35 Chinese students and 45 international students.

Admission criteria  for Chinese students

Successful candidates should meet the requirements listed by Fudan University for recruiting master’s-degree students, have basic knowledge of economic management, be fluent in English and good at all-round quality, and have potentials to develop in the management field.

Application procedure  for Chinese students

  1. fill in the online version of application form, and select “International Management” (code: 120202);
  2. attend the National Graduate Entrance Examination by Ministry of Education
  3. if reaching above the demands by Fudan University in terms of basic score achieved in “management” discipline of the national exam, attend the second round of examinations in a from-high-to-low sequence in terms of national exam scores.
  4. the second round of exams are focused on comprehensive ability in specialized knowledge, comprehensive English ability, with the former tested in oral way and the latter tested in both writing and oral ways.
  5. first and second rounds of examinations each play 50% of functions referring to the final calculation.
