This summer, Fudan MBA introduced four summer programs for our MBA students, including Leadership and Strategy Program at Yale, the Strategic Mindset and Innovation in Israel, Global Perspective and Strategic Vision in Singapore, and Entrepreneurship for MBAs in Germany. Each program offers lectures and plenty of other activities including cultural tours, local companies visit to make this summer the most unforgettable one for Fudan MBA students.

As one of the key aspect of Fudan MBA education,‘Global Perspective’has been an anchor in upholding the "Young Elite, Future Leader" concept of the program. Each year over 300 Fudan MBA students are offered the opportunities to study at 90+ first class business schools around the world.

33 Fudan MBA students began their one-week summer program in Singapore this summer.

Singapore, together with New York, London, and Hong Kong, ranks the top four international financial centers in the world. It also serves the role of a major hub of service and shipping in Asia.

Centered around the characteristics of Singapore’s economic and social development, the program’s courses covered contents including globalization strategy, enterprise management, innovation on business mode, and salary system for civil servants, etc.

Professors from National University of Singapore delivered in-depth lectures to the students, analyzing business cases from the perspectives of China, Singapore and globally, indicating many lessons that Chinese enterprises can learn from.

Out of classes, some other activities including tours around the city enabled students to have a more comprehensive understanding of Singapore.

The students wrote in their journal, as a very small country in size, Singapore is developing itself with an international vision and it’s cultivating talents based on highly advanced concept, which could be very inspiring to other countries.

Singapore faced a series of challenges at the early stage of development after the country declared independence. Since then the country has made great efforts to engage itself into the global trade system with a globalized perspective, which has successfully turned itself into a key trading port in Asia.

The unique way of education also impressed the students a lot. Oriental and Western way of education has their own advantages and disadvantages respectively. So what Singapore do is to combine the two to make sure every student acquires a set of comprehensive capacities.

The students learnt about Singapore’s talent strategy through a few visits to government sectors and some companies. Singapore has done a great job in cultivating and attracting talents, who then made great contributions to the country’s economic development. Its talent management system could set an example for related practice in China and other countries, the students pointed out.

And one important part of the summer study trip is about exploring the local life, including tasty food. As a diverse cultural center in Southeast Asia, Singapore is like a giant food court that gathers the best cuisines from different countries. Delicious food is like the icing on the cake to the country’s already brilliant culture.
