The Global Consulting Practicum (GCP) is a cross-cultural capstone course and flagship international consulting organization embedded in Wharton Business School. Established in 1978, the GCP is designed to bridge the academic curriculum and international business worlds. Since 2005, the Wharton GCP has cooperated with the School of Management, Fudan University. Each GCP team, which comprises 4-6 Wharton MBA students and 4-6 Fudan MBA students, provides consultancy service covering all aspects on strategy, marketing, operation and finance for senior managers of Chinese companies who want to enter or improve their position in the North American market. As an International Business elective, Wharton-Fudan GCP employs its educational philosophy of “learning through experience” and provides Fudan MBA students with multi-faceted opportunity to develop and integrate business skills while ensuring their efforts support Fudan’s brand equity.
