A way to Triple Your Possibility

Just like many other Fudan MBA graduates, Wu Jun received an exciting offer before his graduation this year. He was admitted into Microsoft’s MACH MCE Program, an international rotation program which allows him to work at three locations globally including Microsoft China, the US headquarters and a third country, before placing into an appropriate position at Microsoft China.

Getting Out of the Comfort Zone

Before enrolling in S3 Asia MBA program, Wu Jun had worked for three years at an Energy IoT (Internet of Things) project, in charge of program development and government relations in the company’s sales and marketing group.

During the first few years of his career, Wu Jun did pretty well in the fields he was long familiar with and earned himself awards from the company every year. But then he decided to think about going further beyond his previous achievements by widening his scope of knowledge in areas like business and management.

After great deliberation, Wu Jun chose S3 Asia MBA Program out of all the others due to its unique course arrangements and distinct educational concept.

Based in Asia, Geared to the World

As Asia is becoming the focus of the world's economic and political activities, its rapid development has led to increasing complexity of doing business in the region bounded by vast differences in economic, business, cultural, institutional and socio-political conditions. In response to such needs, School of Management at Fudan University, Korea University Business School and NUS Business School have launched the S3 Asia MBA, beginning at Fall 2008.

When first looked through the program introduction, Wu Jun was immediately attracted by the program’s unique advantages, including its tri-semester curriculum at three of the top business schools in Asia and the program’s focus on Asian business and global awareness.

Students start their first semester in Shanghai, spend their second semester in Seoul, and complete their third semester in Singapore.  “This offers us a good chance to leverage the strengths of three universities,” Wu Jun said, “and the greater platform provided by the program will bring the students broader vision and wider network of alumni connection.”

Dual Degree and One Certificate

Besides, upon completion of the program, students will be awarded dual MBA degrees – a unique attraction of the S3 Asia MBA program. Each qualified candidate will be granted a “double degree” consisting of their 'home' degree, plus one of two host degrees based on his/her own preference. This makes the program one of its kinds globally, offering a big practical advantage in the students’ job-hunting process.

At the end of the second semester,Wu Jun began to apply for the degree from National University of Singapore. With his outstanding academic performance Wu Jun successfully passed the exam and obtained the degree. According to Wu Jun, having double degrees from two first-class universities is a fact that impresses HR personnel in the first place since this guarantees that the students have outstanding academic performance and rich learning experience.

And, taking Microsoft for example, the company cooperates very closely in Campus Recruiting with a group of well-known schools. Fudan University and National University of Singapore are both included. “This definitely has played some part in getting me the offer,” Wu Jun pointed out.

Wu Jun has already begun with his first stage of rotation program at Microsoft China Headquarters. The creative and enjoyable working atmosphere seems to be promising a brighter future for the newly graduate.

Wu Jun can’t be more grateful to the two-year study at S3 Asia program. During the second semester at Korea University, he was lucky enough to receive career instruction from a KU alumnus member who’s working with Microsoft. It was him who had given Wu Jun lots of helpful suggestions and advised him to apply for MACH MCE program.

Fudan University also organized plenty of consulting service for students who are ready to find a job. Wu Jun received a face-to-face instruction from career counselling in Fudan, which had constructed a set of practical theories for occupational planning, which proved greatly helpful to many students.

“The S3 Asia MBA program has prepared me for the future,” Wu Jun said cheerfully, “the two-year study has broadened our scope of knowledge, helped us connect with excellent alumni and offered enormous resources we can turn to in face of challenges. This will be a precious treasure for us.”
