After months of preparation, the 2nd Fudan MBA iLab Business Challenge officially kicked off in Shanghai Jahwa Technological and Innovation Center on July 22, 2022. The Fudan iLab Business Challenge will cooperate with Shanghai Jahwa and focus on its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy.
Professor Zheng Ming, Deputy Dean of the Fudan University School of Management (FDSM), pointed out that cultivating management talents with ESG awareness has long been the goal of the Fudan MBA program. Meanwhile, Shanghai Jahwa has also spent a lot of energy on the in-depth integration of its ESG concerns and business development. It is these common values held by both parties that led to this significant cooperation in the 2nd Fudan MBA iLab Business Challenge, which was conceived in the first place as a platform for Fudan MBA students to use the knowledge learned in solving real-world business problems and finding ideal solutions for the future development of organizations.
Mr. Pan Qiusheng, Chairman and CEO of Shanghai Jahwa, introduced the exploration and innovation by Shanghai Jahwa to meet ESG objectives. Ms. Han Min, Deputy General Manager, CFO and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Shanghai Jahwa, explained the company's ESG strategy and the the four projects proposed for the iLab Business Challenge.
Professor Feng Tianjun, Executive Director of Fudan MBA Program, revealed that altogether 37 teams and 185 students signed up for the pre-selection, from which 12 teams and 60 students with an average working experience of 10.8 years got to participate in the competition. During the next four weeks, the competitors will take part in various activities and trainings before they submit the interim reports and eventually present their final reports.
