The Fudan 'Join Round Table' forum has officially kicked off. Through the series of conversation with professors and alumni, Fudan MBA students will achieve a deeper understanding of the Fudan talent development scheme and get a clearer idea of their personal plan for both their study and career. The theme of the very first 'Join Round Table' was getting out of the comfort zone.
Professor Dou Yifan, from the Department of Information Management and Business Intelligence pointed out that to get out of the comfort zone is in essence to see things differently, which is one of the major advantages offered by the Fudan MBA Program. Professor Xu Qian from Department of Marketing believes that even though the Fudan MBA students are all elites in their respective industries, they will constantly meet new challenges and find their horizons broadened through their Fudan MBA study. Professor Zhang Cheng, Dean of Department of Information Management and Business Intelligence shared his analysis of what talents with technology background are seeking in the Fudan MBA Program: to master management in the own field, or to explore new possibilities in other industries. Professor Wang Anyu from Department of Management Science advised students feeling trapped in the comfort zone to try looking for new markets or new workflow process so as to break through the bottleneck, and not to expect the MBA diploma to solve all their problems.
