Exploring Possibilities of Innovative Medical Services

Before starting his own business, Zhu Diwu, alumnus from Class of 2003 of the Fudan IMBA program, worked for 15 years in financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank Hong Kong, Goldman Sachs Hong Kong and Goldman Sachs Gao Hua Securities.

Zhu saw the changing demand in the healthcare market and the necessity to offer smart services in the hospital, especially for the in-patient department even before national support was deployed in this field. In 2016, he founded Shanghai Aihui Health Technology Co. Ltd. in hope of improving patient experience in the hospital through the application of internet technologies and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). So far, Aihui Health has achieved cooperation with more than 120 hospitals in 40 cities and 19 provinces.

Meanwhile, Zhu acutely spotted a market in bringing physical examination services to mining companies, which are often located in remote areas. Now Aihui Health is providing such service for two Fortune 500 companies and three listed companies.

Aihui Health’s “Dream Medical School”, an online education system for children patients to learn more about medical science through their bedside equipment, developed in joint effort with Children's Hospital of Fudan University, has been selected as one of the key projects in the “Healthy Shanghai 2030” initiative.

Zhu believes in the great potential of smart hospitals. Together with his innovative team, he feels confident about building Aihui Health into a health management company driven by big data and internet platform in the future.
