As a previous auditor in one of the big four accounting firms, Yang Shifei enrolled in the Fudan International MBA Program with the goal of broadening his career horizons and exploring more possibilities.
Yang believes his practical skills were significantly improved and his worldview drastically enhanced through this study experience, particularly through the iLab Business Consulting Practicum where he worked closely with a European company, as well as his study in Finland as an exchange student. And with the help of Career Development Office's (CDO) resources, he secured a rare internship position in the private equity field and participated in 4 projects in less than one year, through which he gained valuable firsthand experience and insight into the workings of the investment industry. Then, as a Fudan MBA graduate, he was chosen to lead an internal reform in his company, an opportunity that is not typically given to new employees, which enabled him to gain valuable management experience.
Yang’s first entrepreneurial endeavor came to a premature end because the supply chain was disrupted under the impact of the pandemic. Now with the resources and connections provided by the CDO of Fudan University School of Management, Yang has co-founded another enterprise in the field of information security.
Over the years, Yang has received effective support from the Fudan MBA alumni, whether it's related to tackling management problems or fundraising. Moreover, Yang finds the ethos and values of the alumni to be continuously inspiring for his entrepreneurship.
