CONSULTANCY PROJECT

Consultancy Project

The Consulting Project is an opportunity to apply the learnings of the MBA program to a real-life business case; being able to relate the classroom learnings to a managerial context makes the MBA so much more valuable. I discuss and give my feedback to the teams, but each group is independent, and they are their own project managers, so it's really a chance for students to specialize and become experts in a topic that they have a personal passion for.

A good project can investigate a challenge (problems or opportunities) in a real business setting, ranging from startups to MNCs, in any business area. In addition to learning to apply the MBA skills and becoming experts in a topic, the groups also gain valuable knowledge about managing a research project in a group setting, and the principles of conducting a systematic research investigation into business challenges-the end results always include managerial recommendation that can be very valuable to the organization

Peter Jarnebrant

Associate Professor

Department of Marketing

Research area:My academic background is in marketing, in particular the psychology of economic decision making. I am interested in areas such as the role of attention in information processing, and how consumers form beliefs about continuous outcomes, including economic expectations, product quality or even the duration of their own lives. At BI I teach courses in marketing, such as brand management and services marketing. I also supervise theses both for bachelor and Master of Science Students, which I very much enjoy due to the close interactions with students.

Professor Profile:Peter Jarnebrant is an associate professor at BI Norwegian Business School, and is the Associate Dean of the Master of Science in Strategic Marketing Management. He got his Ph.D. from Columbia University, New York, and worked as an Assistant Professor at European School of Management and Technology before he started at BI in 2014.
