This course addresses how organizations can and actually do manage people and human resources at strategic, tactical, and operational levels. The course will expose the participants to current trends in research and practice of human resource management by engaging them in both practice-oriented experiential learning as well as evidence-based approach towards people management. As the course is a master level and students range from HR professionals to leaders responsible for HR-related activities, the focus of the course is on strategic people management and chosen more relevant topics in this framework.

Professor Profile:Miha Skerlavaj is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour, BI Norwegian Business School. He is also a Vice-dean for Research and Professor of Management and Organization at University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business (SEB LU) in Slovenia. He received his Ph.D. from SEB LU. His work has been accepted for publication in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management, and many others. It has been covered in popular press such as The New York Times. He also published books Capitalizing on Creativity and Post-heroic Leadership. His work has been rewarded with several national and international honors and awards.
