Introduction 论坛介绍 Symposium on Responsible Operations in the ESG Era Date: Saturday, August 12, 2023, 9:00am (Beijing Time) Theme: Managing Operations in the ESG Era: Zero Emissions and Income Equality Description: In today’s economy, firms are under public pressure to improve various ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) measures ranging from Zero Carbon Emissions to Board Diversity, and from Worker Safety to Income Equality. However, ESG measures can be distorted if they do not explicitly incorporate a firm’s operations throughout its entire supply chain. This one-day symposium is intended to have leading scholars from various business schools to share their recent research on this emerging and important area. At the same time, we also invite practitioners and scholars to exchange their views about the current practice and future challenges and opportunities.
