In the latest Fudan MBA Join Forum, Dr. Yuan Lei, Deputy General Manager, CFO and CIO of Baosteel Engineering &Technology Group Co., Ltd. shared her understanding of digital leadership.
According to Dr. Yuan, digital leadership refers to the ability to lead a team or an organisation to adapt to the digital transformation and to achieve business goals with strategic use of the digital assets. She believes digital leadership includes at least four aspects: the ability to construct and operate digital assets, the ability to provide decision support system with the help of digital tools, the ability to quickly integrate financial resources with digital systems, and the ability to innovate by making use of new methods provided by the digital age.
Dr. Yuan pointed out that leaders in the digital age need to embrace change with an open mind, promote the digital transformation of enterprises, and be willing to explore how information technology can be used to help the enterprise become more competitive and innovative.
