The 2021-2022 Fudan MBA iLab Officially Lauched

For the past 16 years, the Fudan MBA program has been collaborating with domestic and foreign enterprises on iLab consulting projects, providing a multi-win platform where Fudan IMBA students get to apply what they have learned in class to tackle real business problems for companies like IBM, Intel, Merck, Medtronic, China International Capital Corporation, Bosch Investment, Lane Crawford, etc. So far, Fudan MBA students have completed 284 iLab projects with 232 companies.

This November, the 2021-2022 Fudan MBA iLab was officially launched. During the launch ceremony, Mr. Sun Long, Executive Director of the Fudan IMBA Program, explained the “5I” value system of the iLab program: Integration, Innovation, Initiative, Intelligence and Internationalization. Professor He Yanqun, the instructor of the iLab program, then offered professional suggestions for the students to make the best of the iLab project.

Projects open for application this year include altogether 9 international business consulting projects in Fudan Business Finland iLab, Fudan-MIT China Lab and Thailand-China iLab, as well as 22 domestic business consulting projects in Local iLab. Technological innovation enterprises account for 2/3 of the potential Local iLab partners, which is not only in accordance with the strategy of the School of Management, but will also allow the students to gain deeper insights into the new trends of China’s economic development.

A project management simulation was organized by the school to prepare the students for the iLab projects. As a member of the champion team in this "warm-up competition", Liu Feiyu from the Fudan International MBA Class of 2023 revealed that close team collaboration, excellent personal project management and crisis management were some of the core qualities that helped them win. Liu is eager to embrace the more intense challenges posed by the upcoming iLab project.
