Hu Qingfu used to be a civil servant in his hometown in Inner Mongolia, before his MBA study at Fudan. During the 2 year study, Hu acquired the underlying logic of the business world and an international vision, became friends with classmates of different background and industries, and even met his future wife in his class. He got the job offer of McDonald's China by Fudan iLab consulting project, and joined McDonald's China after graduation, and later joined a new retail company, working on the construction of the management system and the integration of operations.
Hu believes he has benefited greatly from courses like accounting, marketing, corporate finance, advanced management communications, investment studies, and game theory. He is also very grateful for the practical opportunities and the experience of studying in Europe as an exchange student, which helped him gain a more global perspective and respects for different viewpoints.
For Hu, the Fudan MBA study is like a gradual charging process where he got to know better about himself and explore what he wants to do with his life and career. Professors and tutors at Fudan have provided analysis and guidance concerning Hu’s career development. Inspiring seminars are regularly held among Fudan MBA alumni, during which they would discuss potential opportunities in certain industries, and offer resources and advice to tackle problems.
