In the 2017-2021 UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings, Fudan University School of Management (FDSM) ranked 83rd globally, 1st in Chinese mainland. This is the seventh consecutive year in which the program has found itself listed among the top 100 worldwide and top 10 in Asia since 2016.
Released annually by the University of Texas at Dallas, the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings is evaluated based on the total contributions during the past five years of a school’s faculty in 24 leading business journals. The UTD rankings has become one of the most authoritative indexes for the research competence of business schools.
Over the years, FDSM has increased its support for academic research and improved the incentive mechanism for the faculty.
Particular emphasis has been put on innovation on basic theories in the management discipline and solving practical problems arising amid the rapid development of China's economy and society.
In the 2021 QS World University Rankings by Subject, Business & Management Studies of FDSM ranked 50th worldwide. Last year, the school won 26 bids on major funded research projects. The faculty from FDSM published a total of 19 papers in the 24 UTD journals, and 18 papers in the 50 journals used in Financial Times Research Rank.
