After graduating from Ohio State University, Du Kai started his career at Ernst & Young in Shanghai. Eight years later, Du switched to the pharmaceutical industry and became a mergers and acquisitions manager.
Du felt the necessity to get back to school again at this point of career transition. At Fudan MBA, Du has gained practical leadership and management skills and expanded his network; but he believes the most important inspiration for him is a whole new perspective, allowing him to understand better decisions from the upper level of his company.
Zhou Yuqing got her master's degree in the UK and chose to join a medical device company in Shanghai. In six years, she has seen the number of the employee grow from less than 60 to more than 600, posing ever greater challenges for her management. She believes MBA study can help her break through the bottleneck in her career development.
"Fudan MBA really opened a new world for me!”said Zhou. “For example, when I was designing the performance bonus plan for R&D projects recently, I was inspired by the method of calculating the net present value of projects that I learned from the finance course."
Zhou hopes to help her company create a widely approved brand in the next five years. “I’ll achieve this goal through optimising strategic planning, organisational capacity and cultural construction,” said Zhou.
