The speaker of the latest episode of the forum “Insights in the Spring” presented by Fudan MBA Program was Professor Wang Shouzhi, Deputy Dean of the School of Creativity and Art, ShanghaiTech University, expert in design history and modern design theories, and one of the pioneers of modern design education in China.
Professor Wang first introduced different types of design, then analysed the potential impact of technologies on the evolution of design. In the interactive session, Professor Wang shared more insights on the trends of product design, and discussed with the students among other issues, the boundaries between art and design in history, the prospect of age-friendly design, the relationship between designers and public aesthetics, the embodiment of humanism in design concepts and so on. In the end, Professor Wang emphasized that the integration of design and technology will definitely create a better life for us.
