LA MER
Position Title: La Mer Trainer, Travel Retail China
Division / Department: Education
Reports to: Regional Education Manager, Asia Pacific Travel Retailing
This position will be responsible to help train and develop the
La Mer Experts to consistently deliver exceptional customer service, represent the image, products and culture of the La Mer Brand to the customer. The incumbent needs to have an understanding of the retail selling environment and help La Mer Experts achieve brand objectives by providing motivation, advice and assistance through education.
Responsibilities
· Conduct basic training, seasonal training for all La Mer Experts.
· Conduct on-going coaching sessions at counter in order to reinforce classroom teaching and to assist in observing and adapting trainings to meet evolving consumer needs.
· Assisting, as required with events, seasonal training and/or education conference, including set up, presentations and breakdowns.
· Discuss education objectives with Account Coordinator/Area Sales Manager to identify training needs. Work closely with Regional Education Manager to ensure that all objectives are in keeping with brand education strategy and guidelines.
· Localize education programs to ensure that selling techniques and service ritual are adapted to travel retail environment and to the needs of the Chinese consumer.
· Conduct brand and seasonal training for generic staffs, twice a year upon approval from retailers. This can be more frequent if need be.
· Assist in providing information resource and feedback to the team in terms of the building of the knowledge content on the Chinese Travelling Consumer (CTC).
· Administratively:
- Ensure adequate supply of uniforms for all La Mer Experts.
- Ensure La Mer Experts adhere to brand’s image - maintaining the standard of grooming and hygiene.
- Prepare and adhere to the training expense budget.
· Create and maintain an atmosphere of open and positive communication at all times.
Qualifications
· Experienced trainer, preferably within the cosmetics industry
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral – English and Mandarin
University graduates are preferred.
· Willingness to travel and able to work long hours when necessary.
· Understanding of effective sales techniques and customer service
· Ability to inspire, motivate and coach people
Diplomacy and patience
Team player and willingness to learn
Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills.

Job Title: Education Executive, Estee Lauder
Department: Travel Retailing
Reports to: Education Manager
Supervises: Nil
PRIMARY FUNCTION
· Educate Beauty Advisors (& Generic sales staff) of brand philosophy, sales and services skills in order to meet productivity goals in travel retail environment
· Work closely with Education Manager in development of Travel Retail education strategy that align with brand direction
· Inspire and empower Beauty Advisors through modeling, coaching and reinforcing consistent behavior
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Seminar Execution
· Plan and execute ALL seminars and all field programs according to individual market launch strategy in order to ensure field sales (Beauty Advisors / Generics sales staff) are confident to achieve desired result
· Educate field sales of product knowledge and selling behaviors to enable them to consistently achieve Purpose & Standards
· Adapt seminar strategy to custom-fit needs of each travel retail market / retailer and level of audience to ensure immediate translation of learning
2) Coaching and Talent Development
· Act as a role model, set the example and provide direction
· Coach and motivate Beauty Advisors based on individual talent and skill to drive sales objectives and brand equity in travel retail environment
· Work at counter, face-to-face coaching Beauty Advisors on what has been taught in all training programs.
· Develop coaching plans according to seasonal Learning Lab and all other training programs.
· Ensure consistent grooming standards and in-store sales & services behavior of Beauty Advisors
· In partnership with sales partners, assess (or appraise) Beauty Advisors skills and identify developmental needs of the market.
3) Collaboration and Partnership
· Collaborate with Affiliate’s education of training support or sharing resources
· Work closely with Education Manager on market focus and align action plan with education objectives
· Work with (Global/Leading) Makeup Artist to elevate Beauty Advisors makeup skills and drive makeup business
4) Administration
· Assist in planning and running of Travel Retail Conferences or education workshops
· Generate reports to reflect market status and provide education feedbacks
REQUIREMENTS
· Experienced trainer, preferably within the cosmetics retail industry
· Preferably with the experience of Beauty Advisor
· Excellent communication skills, in both written and oral
· Strong presentation and people skills
· Self-starter and able to motivate others
· Willingness to travel (30-50% travel frequency)
· Flexible, high energy and have a sense of humor
· Passionate and influential
· Preferably bilingual (fluent in English)
