Biography
Christopher Tang is a thought leader in global supply chain management with over 30 years of experience in different sectors across Europe, Asia, and Americas. Currently, Chris is conducting his research on global supply chains to inform the readers about how labor, technology, ESG regulations, and geopolitics are transforming the manufacturing, logistics, and technology sectors. In the higher education sector, he is a university distinguished professor at UCLA and the Carter Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
He has also consulted with numerous global firms including Amazon, GKN, HP, IBM, and NASA in the technology sector. Besides his prolific academic publications (7 books and over 200 academic research articles), he has written over 120 articles about US-China trade war, deglobalization, and supply chain resilience in Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron¡¯s, Bloomberg Law, Business Leaders, Forbes, Fortune, Los Angeles Times, South China Morning Post, China Daily, Strait Times, etc.
Chris is a lifetime fellow of INFROMS, MSOM, and POMS, all three academic societies in Operations Management. He is the recipient of the UCLA (university-wide) teaching award, various service awards, and best paper awards. He is currently serving as Vice President (publications) of INFORMS. He is the former Dean of the National University of Singapore Business School and the former editor of M&SOM. He receives his BSc (first class honors) from King's College, London, and his MA, MPhil and PhD from Yale. |

Wei Miao

Wei Miao is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Analytics at the UCL School of Management, University College London. Before joining UCL, he obtained a Ph.D. in Quantitative Marketing from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor¡¯s in Economics from Fudan University. Wei¡¯s research applies causal machine learning, structural modeling, and field experiment methods to investigate substantive issues in the area of sharing economy, digital platforms, and industrial organization. In particular, his research explores the effects of different pricing schemes (such as surge pricing and flat-rate pricing) and dispatch systems (bidding versus allocation) on the ridesharing market. He also studies optimal platform designs, such as the landing page design and platform leakage prevention. |

Liu Ming is an Associate Professor at the School of Management and Economics at The Chinese University of Hong Hong, Shenzhen. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Management & Management Science from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland in Summer 2017. His research interests are in economics of operations management and empirical operations management, centering around dynamic pricing, consumer choice, and capacity management in the Internet- and Sharing-Economy. He also serves as an expert consultant for the Sharing Economy Committee in the Internet Society of China. Liu received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Management at Shanghai Jiaotong University and dual M.S. in IOE and Statistics at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. |

Wei Wang is a Professor of Economics at School of International Trade and Economics, University of International Business and Economics. His main research interests are in development economics and industrial organization. He received his PhD in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He also holds Bachelor¡¯s degrees in Economics from Fudan University and a Master¡¯s degree in Economics from Peking University. He has published numerous articles in academic journals such as Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Research Policy, among others. |

Her primary research areas include socially responsible operations, sustainable operations management, and supply chain management. Her research has been published in top-tier international journals in the field of management, such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management. She received her Bachelor's degree and Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University. She has received several awards, including the Best Paper Award of International Conference of the Chinese Scholars Association for Management Science and Engineering (CSAMSE), the Best Paper Award of the Annual Conference of the Institute of Supply Chain Management and Operations Management (ISCOM). |

He was a Sr. Manager and Technical Lead at Ping An, Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU Shanghai, and Industry Supervisor at China-UK Low Carbon College. He also worked at Capital One, AT&T Labs, and Big Data CoE. Shizhuo holds a Ph.D. from Penn State, a Master¡¯s from the University of Science and Technology of China, and a Bachelor¡¯s from Peking University. |
