Giorgio Di Giorgio is the Dean of the Economics and Finance Department and Professor of Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics at  LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. He is also the President the multinational finance society, Elect. He has previously been the Dean of the Economics Faculty at LUISS (2007-2011) and Deputy Rector for International Relations at the same university. From 2000 to 2007 he was a Research Fellow at Ente Einaudi; from 1997 to 2000 he was a member of the Technical Secretary of the Economic Policy Evaluation Unit of the Ministry of the Treasury of the Italian Republic. Giorgio Di Giorgio has been Visiting Professor at Columbia University (Fall 1996, Fall 2003) and at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (1998-1999). He holds a Laurea in Economia from Università "La Sapienza" di Roma (1989) and a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University, NY (1996). He is referee for several journals including the Economic Journal, The Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Economics and Politics, The Journal of Banking and Finance, Rivista di Politica Economica, Rivista Italiana degli Economisti. He held a course of “Global Economic Perspective” at the School of Management of Fudan University.
