Changing Mindset of Uncertainty to Complexity Reduction:
How to grow business in chaotic environment
 
作为复旦大学商业文明和共同体研究所策划的年度国际论坛，活动邀请了来自俄罗斯圣彼得堡大学的 Galina V. Shirokova 教授、任教于加拿大卡尔加里大学的乌克兰籍Oleksiy Osiyevskyy 博士、以及加拿大莱桥大学迪隆商学院终身教授、复旦大学管理学院特聘教授鲍勇剑等所在领域的专家学者，议题聚焦“从不确定到渐确定：在全球经济的动荡中逆势成长”，与大家共同探讨当前国际国内中小企业的创新创业发展问题以及新地缘政治背景下的商业策略。
 
Institute of Commerce Civilization and Commons of Fudan University plans to invite a number of internationally renowned experts and scholars to Shanghai for a series of exchange of ideas and wisdom talks, to discuss the development of innovation and entrepreneurship of small and medium-sized enterprises in the current international political and economic background as well as current geopolitical and economic issues.

任教授的主要研究领域为国际政治理论、东亚国际关系、中国外交。曾任上海国际问题研究所美国研究室主任、亚太研究室主任，2010年2月至2012年2月供职于中华人民共和国驻日本国大使馆政治处。目前还担任多家国际学术期刊（包括Globalizations, East Asia: An International Quarterly, East Asian Policy 和Journal of Global Policy and Governance）的编委。已发表中英文论著多种。
 
Prof. REN was Senior Fellow and Director of the Asia Pacific Studies Department, Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS). Prof. REN studied in the University of Essex in England (1990-91) and held research or visiting positions at the University of Turku, Finland, Nagoya University, Japan, and The George Washington University in Washington, DC, USA. His work has appeared in journals such as Global Policy, The Pacific Review, Asia Policy, Third World Quarterly, Journal of Contemporary China, East Asia: An International Quarterly etc. His other publications include Human Security and Cross-Border Cooperation in East Asia (co-editor, Palgrave Macmillan, 2018), New Frontiers in China’s Foreign Relations (co-editor, Lexington Books, 2011) and China’s Foreign Aid: Theory and Practice (2017, available in Chinese). Dr. Ren serves on the editorial boards of several international academic journals including Globalizations, Journal of Global Policy and Governance, East Asia: An International Quarterly, and East Asian Policy. Prof. REN worked at the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo from 2010 to 2012. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Fudan University in 1992.

当前国际贸易和产业环境变得更为复杂，全球市场波动尤为激烈，企业在业务发展过程中如何应对当前市场的波动和不可预期是所有企业家关心的核心问题。
The current international trade and industrial environment has become more complex, and the global market volatility is particularly fierce. How to deal with the current market volatility and unpredictability in the process of business development is the core issue that all entrepreneurs are concerned about. 
 
Oleksiy Osiyevskyy 博士
加拿大卡尔加里大学Haskayne商学院创业与创新(终身教职)助理教授

Oleksiy Osiyevskyy 博士同时为美国波斯顿大学、加拿大卡尔加里大学等多所美国和加拿大顶级大学商学院教授创新创业、战略管理等课程。曾任美国东北大学达默尔-麦克基姆商学院创业与创新组终身教授。在此期间，创业本科项目在美国项目中排名第四，在高科技创业项目中排名第一(普林斯顿评论)。
目前Oleksiy Osiyevskyy 博士在企业战略和创新等领域的顶级期刊发表50多篇期刊论文以及专著，并多次荣获美国小企业与创业协会(USASBE)年会最佳学者奖项。
同时Oleksiy Osiyevskyy 博士本人也有着多年的互联网创业经验，曾在乌克兰和加拿大、美国等国家的大型保险公司业务发展部门和政府监管部门担任管理咨询顾问。
 
Dr. Oleksiy Osiyevskyy is also teaching entrepreneurship and strategic management courses at top business schools in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Oleksiy Osiyevskyy was a former tenured professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at Northeastern University's D’Amore-McKim School of Business. During this period, the entrepreneurship undergraduate program ranked fourth among U.S. programs and first among high-tech entrepreneurship programs (Princeton Review).
Dr. Oleksiy Osiyevskyy is also the Fellow of the National Center for the Middle Market (NCMM) at the Fisher College of Business, the Ohio State University.
At present, Dr. Oleksiy Osiyevskyy has published more than 50 journal papers and monographs in the top journals of enterprise strategy and innovation, and has been awarded the best scholar of the annual meeting of the American association for small business and entrepreneurship (USASBE) for many times. Meanwhile, Dr. Oleksiy Osiyevskyy also has many years of experience in Internet entrepreneurship, serving as a management consultant in the business development department and government regulatory departments of large insurance companies in Ukraine, Canada, the United States and other countries.

俄罗斯是中国重要战略合作伙伴，与中国经济发展有着极强的互补性。当前俄罗斯商业经济环境下，企业的创新创业发展有着怎样的机会？又会面临什么样的挑战？中国企业进入俄罗斯有着怎样的合作机会？
 
Russia is an important strategic partner of China and highly complementary to China's economic development. Under the current commercial economic environment in Russia, what are the opportunities for the innovation and entrepreneurship of enterprises? What are the challenges? What are the cooperation opportunities for Chinese enterprises in Russia?

Galina Shirokova 教授，主要研究领域为创业企业发展与增长、战略定位、风险管理等，并教授变革管理、创业管理等课程。
Galina Shirokova 教授是欧洲小企业和创业理事会、美国小企业和企业家协会、国际管理协会、ICSB妇女创业委员会、战略管理协会成员、俄罗斯科学基金会专家委员会等成员，此外还是多个国际知名专业学术期刊的评委会成员和主编，目前在企业管理、创新创业等领域发表专著近百篇。
此外，Galina Shirokova 教授还曾荣获2019年全球同行最佳评审员（美国出版学院），2018年经济和商业领域俄罗斯Scopus 奖；2018年美国小企业和创业协会(USASBE)最佳经验奖；最佳国家报告奖；入选“俄罗斯联邦国民经济组织管理干部培训总统计划”等。
 
Professor Galina V. Shirokova‘s research interests include entrepreneurship development and growth, strategic positioning, and risk management. Taught courses such as change management and entrepreneurship management for MBA/EMBA in Russia.
She is also the member of Expert Board of Russian Science Foundation, Editorial Review Board of “Academy of Management Perspectives” , USASBE (United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship), SMS (Strategic Management Society), ECSB (European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship);
In addition,she has been awarded “the best jury of global peers in 2019 (American academy of publishing)” ,“Scopus Awards Russia 2018 in economics and business”, “The 2018 USASBE best practices award”, “Best national report award”, “Honorary Diploma of Russian Association of Business Education For Substantial Contribution to the Development of Business Education”.She was also selected into the "Presidential Programme for training of management cadres for organizations of national economy of Russian Federation" .

Topic: From uncertainty to complexity reduction
 
当前商业环境的复杂化让未来的企业经营更具“不确定性”，对此，鲍勇剑教授认为“只有想不透的问题，没有找不到的方法，一切不确定性都有渐确定的道路。”
The complexity of the current business environment makes future business operations more "uncertain". In this regard, Professor Bao believes that "there are only problems that cannot be understood, and there are no methods that cannot be found. All uncertainties have a way of becoming certain."

2011年-2018年之间，鲍教授获得七届复旦大学EMBA优秀教师的荣誉。他是2019-2020加拿大莱桥大学“教学学者”的获得者。2017年，与合作者共同获得加拿大社会科学研究基金研究奖项。2017年1月，鲍教授被《清华管理评论》评为2016年度中国十大管理创新思想者。
 
鲍教授在美国南加州大学获公共管理硕士和博士学位，他的研究领域包括：企业竞争战略，变革管理、产业创新、危机管理等。他与其他研究者合著的40篇学术文章发表在管理学界领先杂志，如《管理季刊》《世界商业杂志》《国际管理评论》《商业伦理》《国际冲突管理季刊》和《国际公共行政管理》等领先学术刊物上。
 
多年来，鲍教授为多家媒体的担任专栏撰稿人（《界面》、《21世纪经济报道》、《中国经营报》、《澎湃》、《第一财经日报》、《上海观察》等）。他先后发表了800篇专栏文章，并且和合作者共同完成了6本管理学专著。
 
From 2011 to 2018, Prof. BAO was honored as the outstanding EMBA teacher of Fudan University for seven times. He is the recipient of the 2019-2020 Teaching Fellow at the University of Lethbridge, Canada. In 2017, he and his collaborators jointly won the Canadian social science research fund research award.
 
Prof. BAO holds a master's and doctor's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California. His research interests include: corporate competitive strategy, change management, industrial innovation, and crisis management. He has co-authored 40 academic articles published in leading Management journals such as the Journal of Management and the Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Conflict Management and Journal of International Public administration Administration and other leading academic journals.

Over the years, Prof. BAO has been a columnist for many media (Interface, 21st Century Business Report, Chinese Business Daily ,Shanghai Observation etc.). He has published 800 columns.Prof. BAO and his collaborators have completed six management monographs.
