主题: The Unequal Burden of Multiteaming: A Per-Membership Theory of Interference and Team Coordination

摘要：Multiple team membership (MTM) enables organizations to leverage employees’ expertise across projects, but it also exposes employees to competing demands from concurrent teams. Although existing research has documented the challenges of MTM, it remains unclear why the same individual may experience substantially different levels of interference across team memberships. We introduce a per-membership perspective on MTM interference, shifting attention from how multiple team memberships affect individuals overall to why specific memberships are more vulnerable to disruption than others. Drawing on task-switching theory and evidence from a multi-source field study supplemented by qualitative interviews, we identify membership-specific conditions that shape interference and its consequences for team functioning. Our research offers new insights into the dynamics of multiple team membership and the challenges of coordinating work across concurrent teams.

胡琼晶博士现任浙江大学管理学院领导力与组织管理学系副教授，致力于在团队背景下研究领导行为、地位、团队构型等问题，揭示团队内成员的互动模式，为打造高效能的团队提供多方面的建议。研究成果发表于《管理世界》、《心理学报》、 Academy of Management Journal、 Journal of Business Venturing、 Human Relations等中英文期刊。近些年, 开始逐步探索数字化如何重塑领导力、团队过程及其他重要的组织后果。
