Accounting for the World, Calculating for the Future
Fudan University Doctor of Professional Accounting (DPAcc) Program
Admissions for the Class of 2026 Officially Open!
Since the reestablishment of the School of Management at Fudan University in 1985, the school has experienced forty years of remarkable development. The Fudan University Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program was founded in 2004 and has now gone through twenty years of growth.
Building on the solid foundation of the school’s forty years of brilliant achievements, the MPAcc program, as an important part of the school’s professional degree education, relies on strong faculty, a mature business management education system, and an advanced financial accounting training model, and has become a leading financial accounting education platform in China.
The newly established Doctor of Professional Accounting (DPAcc) program is an advanced extension of the MPAcc program, dedicated to creating an academic-practice value closed-loop ecosystem.
The first cohort will enroll in September 2026. The launch of the DPAcc program marks a new journey for Fudan School of Management in the field of accounting education!
The DPAcc program is guided by the philosophy of “focusing on accounting industry transformation issues, integrating interdisciplinary theories, and building a platform combining theory and practice.” It not only emphasizes cultivating students’ ability to use scientific methods to research and solve complex problems in accounting practice, but also aims to nurture innovative, high-level accounting talents with international vision, strategic insight, innovative thinking, and industry leadership, helping students become the backbone of accounting industry development.
The establishment of the DPAcc program is both an inheritance of the discipline’s accumulation and a proactive response to the paradigm shift in accounting in the digital economy era. It also stems from Fudan School of Management’s deep insight into industry trends—the program focuses on three major directions: “Financial Strategy Planning and Control,” “Technological Innovation and Capital Operation,” and “Intelligent Accounting and Finance.” It builds an interdisciplinary “Accounting+” curriculum system, deeply integrates cutting-edge theories in financial technology, intelligent algorithms, and strategic management, and ensures that teaching content precisely matches the professional competency requirements of the digital economy era.
