Campus Reunion, Inspiring the Future | Reflection on the 15th Anniversary of Class 7 and the 5th Anniversary of Class 17 Alumni Homecoming

From December 13 to 14, 2024, the Fudan School of Management Alumni Center, in collaboration with the Fudan University–University of Washington EMBA Program, consecutively hosted the 15th anniversary homecoming for Class 7 alumni and the 5th anniversary homecoming for Class 17 alumni.

Alumni had the opportunity to tour the long-anticipated Zhengli Campus. The newly refurbished buildings evoked profound emotions about their alma mater’s continuous and remarkable development. Among the highlights, the open design concept deeply integrating the campus with the surrounding community and the staggered “Xia Guang” roof design left the strongest impressions. Additionally, the uniquely styled library and the modern classrooms of Zhengli Campus offered a refreshing experience. Many expressed their eagerness to return when possible to enjoy the lifelong learning benefits available to alumni.

During both events, Shao Bo, Director of the Fudan University–University of Washington EMBA Program, shared the latest developments with the alumni. Notably, in the recently published 2024 Financial Times Global EMBA Rankings, the program achieved a historic high, securing third place worldwide. This remarkable accomplishment reflects not only the consistently leading international teaching philosophy of the Aolin Business School but also the sustained career growth of its graduates. Director Shao expressed his anticipation of deepening connections with alumni in the future and gradually building a mature global alumni network to foster the program’s enduring development.

Furthermore, Professor Zhang Cheng, Chair of the Department of Information Management and Business Intelligence at Fudan School of Management, and Associate Professor Xu Zhengchuan were invited to share cutting-edge research and practical applications of artificial intelligence with the alumni. The professors emphasized that the era of artificial intelligence has arrived, with technological and economic cycles closely intertwined. Enterprises must grasp the characteristics of these technologies and adapt dynamically to evolving business models, continuously enhancing technology-driven applications and management practices. Alumni Yu Bo from Class 17 contributed insights into the evolution of AI and technological innovation, stimulating in-depth discussions by highlighting applications from cross-industry big data models to successful business cases.

As the homecoming events drew to a close, alumni gathered for commemorative photographs to capture these cherished moments. This reunion not only rekindled long-standing bonds but also infused participants with the latest knowledge and inspiration on frontier AI technologies. More than a nostalgic gathering, it was an exchange of emotions and a convergence of wisdom. Together, amid laughter and camaraderie, they revisited their campus memories and embarked on an inspiring journey toward the future.
