Lifelong Learning Drives Career Leaps

In the 2026 Financial Times (FT) EMBA Ranking, graduates of the Fudan–Washington University EMBA Program have secured the world’s top rank in salary for three consecutive years. This achievement stems from the Program’s international education framework and its value proposition of lifelong learning. Together, they continuously empower participants to achieve career transformation and capability advancement, attracting successive cohorts of outstanding executives.

To date, the Program has cultivated over 1,100 business leaders worldwide, establishing an international network bridging China, the United States and beyond.
Since the launch of the technology and innovation strategy by Fudan School of Management in 2020, the Program has attracted participants from frontier innovation-driven sectors such as new energy, biomedicine and artificial intelligence. The student cohort has attained greater diversity, with a steadily rising proportion of participants from domestic enterprises, a substantial number of whom hail from entrepreneurial ventures.
Supported by its global alumni ecosystem and internationally advanced curriculum, the Fudan–Washington University EMBA Program stands as a core enabler for industry pioneers to transcend boundaries in their professional development.
Global Elite Faculty Building an International Curriculum

The Fudan University–Washington University EMBA Program boasts 90% international faculty alongside top-tier local faculty from Fudan University. Leveraging this strength, the Program continuously integrates cutting-edge global and domestic academic theories with real-world business practices, building an internationally competitive benchmark in global education.
Professor Minyuan Zhao, the Program’s Academic Director, notes: “Meaningful international EMBA education is never a simple transplant of U.S. curricula into Chinese classrooms. Instead, it fosters deep integration between global management theories and China’s unique business context.”

In curriculum design, the Program embeds global theoretical frameworks into core local topics. It encourages discussions around themes including supply chain optimization for Chinese firms going global, industrial governance models in China’s EV sector, and power dynamics and organizational leadership practices within local enterprises.
Adopting a dual “classroom + corporate site” teaching model, it sharpens managers’ business acumen. This two-way empowerment — seeing the world from China and China from the world — helps participants build a global mindset and foster in-depth dialogue between Chinese and global business communities. It prepares them to become key catalysts for global economic and cultural exchange and the integration of cross-border business ecosystems.
AI Integrated Across the Curriculum to Reshape Management Mindsets

Driven by an unprecedented AI wave, industry boundaries are being reshaped. For many entrepreneurs, the real bottleneck lies not in deploying AI technology itself, but in building AI-aligned corporate strategies and organizational structures through management and process optimization to sharpen core competitiveness.
Professor Markus Baer, Associate Dean of Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, noted in an interview with Yicai: “As the AI era unfolds, business school education must prioritize innovative thinking. Olin’s curriculum is shifting from knowledge delivery to knowledge application, cultivating students’ ability to use, master and synthesize AI.”

The Fudan University–Washington University EMBA Program rolled out a comprehensive curriculum upgrade last year. Centered on AI, the redesign makes artificial intelligence a core thread across all courses. Two new courses — Artificial Intelligence: AI for Senior Executive Practice and Global Supply Chain Management — have been introduced. AI business case analysis and AI tool applications are also embedded into existing offerings including Corporate Strategy, Strategic Innovation Management, and Finance & M&A, delivering AI empowerment throughout the curriculum.
The Program has further strengthened practical AI innovation by revamping its entrepreneurship and innovation practicum with a focus on real-world industry scenarios. Working in teams, students apply AI to identify operational pain points in target sectors, develop business solutions and present their outputs. This learn-by-doing pedagogy bridges theory and execution, equipping participants to translate AI insights into tangible business outcomes.
Committed to facilitating Sino-foreign business dialogue and cross-cultural business learning, the Fudan University–Washington University EMBA Program will build on its international education foundation going forward. It will continuously refine its curriculum and further embed AI into education. The Program will empower students and alumni to grow into next-generation business leaders equipped with global competitiveness and local market acumen.
