嘉宾简介 Bio of the Speaker

      Jan-Benedict E.M. Steenkamp is the C. Knox Massey Distinguished Professor of Marketing and Marketing Area Chair at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and Fellow at the Institute for Sustainable Innovation and Growth at Fudan University (Shanghai).

      Steenkamp has written three books on branding, Private Label Strategy: How to Beat the Store Brand Challenge (Harvard Business School Press, 2007) and Brand Breakout: How Emerging Market Brands Will Go Global (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013). His new book Global Brand Strategy: Worldwise Marketing in the Age of Branding will be published in fall 2016 by Palgrave Macmillan, with a special Chinese edition published by Tsinghua University Press. He has also written more than 150 scholarly articles for both management practice journals like Harvard Business Review and academic journals, and ten cases on international branding, which are available through The Case Center (www.thecasecentre.org).

      A native of the Netherlands, Steenkamp has taught, consulted, and given executive seminars on branding on all continents. He has received an honorary doctorate from Aarhus University (Denmark) and an array of lifetime achievement honors, including from the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences and the American Marketing Association. His work has received over 30,000 citations and his h-index is 71. He is rated the most influential marketing scholar of the last decade.

      Steenkamp is a valued branding and strategy consultant, and his work has been featured in the Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Economist, The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, and he has been interviewed on television and radio in the U.S., Europe, South Africa, India, and China.

      Jan-Benedict E.M. Steenkamp是美国北卡罗莱纳大学肯南弗拉格勒商学院(C. Knox Massey)杰出营销学和营销学科讲座教授,同时也是上海复旦大学创新与可持续发展研究会的会员。

      Steenkamp教授在品牌学方面著有三本书作,包括2007年由哈佛商学院出版社发行出版的《自有品牌策略:如何击败门店品牌的挑战(直译)》,2013年由帕尔格雷夫•麦克米伦公司发行出版的《品牌突围:新兴市场品牌如何走向全球(直译)》。其新作《全球品牌战略:品牌时代的机智营销(直译)》即将由帕尔格雷夫•麦克米伦公司与中国清华大学出版社共同出版。同时,Steenkamp教授还在市场营销、企业管理等核心刊物例如《哈佛商业评论》上发表过150多篇学术文章和期刊论文。另外,Steenkamp教授已撰写了十个关于国际品牌的案例,可从案例信息中心获得(www.thecasecentre.org)。

      Steenkamp教授来自荷兰,曾指导并出席众多行业会议,在全球各地召开关于新兴市场品牌战略的执行研讨会。他曾获得丹麦奥尔胡斯大学荣誉博士和荷兰皇家科学院授予的终生成就奖。他的学术观点曾被引用三万余次,h指数达到了71,被评为过去十年全球最有影响力的营销学者。
