ABSTRACT
 
Research on corporate entrepreneurship and its impact on firm performance has grown rapidly over the last decade. However, systematic research on corporate entrepreneurship in the Chinese context is still limited. In this seminar, we will give an overview of current status and trend of entrepreneurship studies, and propose a conceptual model of corporate entrepreneurship and firm performance relationship in the Chinese context. Based on contingency theory and literature on market-oriented enterprises, our research framework incorporate market orientation as mediating factor, and business environments and networking as moderating factors that have impact on how entrepreneurship is configured to achieve high performance. This conceptual framework helps us lay a theoretical background for further empirical studies on corporate entrepreneurship in China.
