摘要：In this talk, I will introduce some recent work on network-based social learning, where agents repeatedly learn and average their neighbors’ opinions. First, we study social learning in which agents weight neighbors differently based on their degrees, capturing situations in which agents place more trust in well-connected individuals or, conversely, discount their influence. We find that assigning greater weight to higher-degree neighbors harms wisdom but has a non-monotonic effect on convergence speed, depending on the diversity of views within high- and low-degree groups, highlighting a potential trade-off between convergence speed and wisdom. Then, based on this framework, we examine the implications for platform design and algorithm choice. Finally, we study social learning on directed networks, where attention runs one way, and demonstrate that key learning outcomes, such as influence and convergence speed, are fundamentally different from their counterparts in the undirected case.

主讲人介绍：邢亦青，北大博雅青年学者、国发院经济学长聘副教授、入选海外高层次青年人才计划。兼任国发院科研主管、中国经济研究中心副主任、Journal of Mathematical Economics副主编。北京大学数学学士、经济学双学士、硕士，斯坦福大学经济学博士；曾任教于美国约翰-霍普金斯大学。研究兴趣为经济与社会网络、微观经济理论、发展经济学、数字经济等；论文发表在 PNAS, RAND, Journal of the European Economic Association, Theoretical Economics, AEJ: Microeconomics, JPE Microeconomics 和《经济研究》、《经济学》（季刊）等。获中国信息经济乌家培资助计划、青木昌彦经济学论文奖、中国信息经济创新成果等研究奖项。
