Dean's Address
“Brilliant are the sunlight and moonlight, as morning renews itself day after day.” The name “Fudan,” derived from the Commentary on Yu and Xia in the Shangshu Dazhuan, symbolizes that since its founding, Fudan University has embarked on a timeless journey of relentless self-renewal and the passing of knowledge through generations. With the quiet dedication and wholehearted efforts of its faculty and community across the years, School of Management has persevered on its path, continually breaking new ground and pioneering approaches in management education for both China and the world.
Since the School’s reestablishment in 1985, its faculty strength and research capabilities have grown steadily, while the quality and caliber of its talent development have consistently risen. In 2020, the School launched its Science and Technology Innovation Strategy, initiating a series of specialized studies on innovation management and founding the “Sci-Tech Entrepreneurship Camp.” Through forums, workshops, and various platforms, it has helped foster innovation ecosystems and value chains, empowering scientific and technological innovation through management expertise, supporting tech-driven enterprises, and contributing to economic growth and prosperity in the Yangtze River Delta region, across China, and around the globe.
In the 2022 “Top 100 Worldwide Business School Research Rankings (2017–2021)” released by the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), the School ranked first in the Chinese mainland and 83rd globally, maintaining its position within the world’s top 100 for seven consecutive years. This recognition affirms the School’s long-term commitment to research, talent development, and social contribution. It also marks a significant milestone in its journey toward becoming a world-class business school, opening new horizons for its future growth.
Fudan University was among the first institutions in China approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and the Ministry of Education to offer the Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) degree. Since its establishment in 2004, the Fudan MPAcc program has drawn upon the School of Management’s distinguished faculty, extensive experience in business education, and advanced financial and accounting curriculum to build a top-tier professional education platform. The School offers international exchange and study-abroad opportunities to broaden students’ global perspectives. In practical training, senior experts from the Big Four accounting firms are invited to participate in teaching. While equipping students with systematic professional knowledge and skills in accounting and finance, the program also emphasizes strategic vision and leadership development.
We warmly welcome you to join the leading MPAcc program meticulously developed by School of Management.
