——Prof. Chris Berghoff’s Marketing Seminar

BI-Fudan MBA program hosted a productive lecture organized by the program student union -- Join&Share Salon again on Oct.14, which is a valuable learning opportunity to most attendees on expanding acknowledge in Marketing Growth and Leadership Development.
BI-Fudan MBA Class 5 invited Prof. Chris Berghoff, who is the professor in Minnesota University and also Founder & President of Control Products Inc., to provide the speech on the marketing cultivation and Market segmentation. Prof. Chris Berghoff excerpted his 25-year experience in developing his enterprise and shared his experience on how to develop the business in fierce competition and strategic approach to prospect the customers. The speech provides a great coverage on the small size business scale development from business founding all the way down to the leadership of entrepreneurial environment, which comprised the following topics which are productive to the students and attendees.
 
Ø        Discipline of Market Leaders
Ø        Product Positioning within your Market
Ø        New Product Development Process
Ø        Strategic Planning
Ø        Profile of Successful Leaders
 
The seminar went really well and both addressor and addressees are very excited on the topics, especially Prof. Chris Berghoff’s understanding of the trade-off between business and family function also impressed the audience, which is a good reminder to those who are in the same situation. Therefore, those present feeling that this seminar is not only a great chance to learn how to grow a business as a professional, but also appreciate this speech on family caring.
 
Meanwhile, Prof. Xu, Director of BI-Fudan MBA program, also attended this seminar and provided a constructive summary at the end to link Prof. Chris Berghoff’s concept with the text books. This helped students find the solid mindset they learned before, which actually directs the applicable tactical approaches in the real world.
 
The whole seminar took nearly 2 hours before the time is running out.  We all feel it valuable to enjoy the moment with classmates on learning and sharing the valuable experience with each other. And we wish there would be more workshops organized by the Join&Share Salon in the future.
