Harvard Business School Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship CALL FOR PAPERS ENTREPRENEURSHIP, VENTURE CAPITAL AND INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERINGS CONFERENCE December 8-9, 2006 Harvard Business School and the Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship invite you to submit research papers for presentation at the Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital and Initial Public Offerings Conference, which will be hel at HBS on Friday and Saturday, December 8-9, 2006. This is the fourth EVI Conference; earlier conferences were held at Yale's School of Management, the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at New York University's Stern School of Business, and Tuck's Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College. FOCUS: Submissions should be original, creative research papers that have not yet been published, or accepted for publication. The emphasis of the conference will be on high-quality (i.e., rigorous and targeted toward academic journals) and generally accessible research with respect to the creation, development, and growth of young firms. International and global perspectives encouraged. Both empirical and theoretical papers are welcome. PAPER SYNOPSES: The conference seeks to raise the exposure of all work in the area of EVI. All authors are encouraged (and all presenters are required) to also submit a 1-2 page synopsis of their paper in Acrobat pdf format. This synopsis is intended for distribution to a wider audience, including non-academics, on the web.
