6.3 违反考试纪律的违纪处分

学生违反考试规则和考试纪律者,除予以相应处分外,其成绩无效,作不及格处理。凡情节特别严重者,或累计两次违反考场纪律者,给予开除学籍处分。

1) 考试时有下列情节之一者,给予严重警告处分:

(i) 未按考试规则要求将书包、书籍、笔记、通讯设备等交到考场指定地点并不听劝告者;

(ii) 发现考场内或者考试设备处可以得到与考试答案相关的信息而未向监考老师报告者;

(iii) 协同他人违反考试规则、考场纪律者。

2) 在闭卷考试中有下列行为之一者,给予记过处分:

(i) 将与考试内容有关的文字或公式抄写在桌面上、藏在试卷下或课桌内等处者;

(ii) 在考场内相互传递或交流与考试内容有关信息行为者。

3) 在考试中,凡采用抄袭或拷贝等各种不正当手段,窃取他人答案或答题资料等者,给予留校察看处分。

4) 有下列行为之一者,将会被提交到港大纪律委员会,情节严重者将给予开除学籍处分:

(i) 由他人代替考试、替他人参加考试者;

(ii) 组织作弊,偷窃试卷或采用其他各种手段窃取试卷内容者;

(iii) 使用通讯设备作弊及其他作弊行为严重者。

6.3 Exam-Related Disciplinary Actions

Students who infringe any of the Examination Regulations is liable to be the subject of a complaint. It may result in respective disciplinary actions and receive a failing grade in the corresponding course. For serious cases or students who have engaged in any misconduct twice, the penalty could be discontinuation of study.

1) A reprimand may be given to students in the following circumstances:

(i) Fail to follow the Examination Regulations and did not follow instructions from the invigilator;

(ii) Obtain or seek to obtain advantage in the examination by having or seeking access to unauthorized information or material and did not report to the invigilator; and

(iii) Collaborate with other students to seek to obtain advantage in the examination.

2) A demerit may be given to students in the following circumstances:

(i) Write or copy any notes or formulas on the desk within the examination areas; and

(ii) Attempt to communicate with any other person during the time appointed for an assessment;

3) Penalties may be imposed if students engage in plagiarism or employ or seek to employ any other unfair means at an examination or in any other form of assessment.

4) Students may referred to the HKU Disciplinary Committee and studentship may be terminated in the following circumstances:

(i) Impersonation of another candidate, or allow oneself to be impersonated in an examination;

(ii) Collusion, theft, or obtaining the examination papers in any unfair means; and

(iii) Cheating by using any telecommunication devices or any other means. Dishonesty in connection with test(s) or examination(s), or violation of any rules or regulations governing the conduct of examinations.
