• Fudan SoM Remains as the Global Top100 for Ten Consecutive Years in the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings

    School of Management at Fudan University (Fudan SoM) has achieved a ranking of 66th worldwide in this year’s UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings (2020-2024), once again securing the No.1 position in Chinese mainland, steadily climbing in the Top 100 for Ten Consecutive Years.

     

    In 2016, Fudan SoM became the first and only business school in Chinese mainland to enter the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings. Over the past 10 years, the scientific research level of Fudan SoM has consistently improved, advancing from No.99 in its debut year to No.66 in the latest ranking. These achievements demonstrate the School's sustained progress in academic research and its profound and outstanding scientific research capabilities, benefiting from the strategic initiatives in cultivating high-caliber research talent and establishing systematic research frameworks.

     

    Fudan SoM encourages its faculty to conduct research and practical innovation rooted in China’s context, focusing on identifying and addressing real-world challenges and conducting responsible and original research. The proportion of faculty’s high-impact studies centered on critical issues in Chinese business practices and published in globally top-tier journals has risen steadily, contributing Chinese insights, experience, and wisdom to global management research.

    Organized and released by the University of Texas at Dallas, the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings has became a highly authoritative and widely influential indicator for evaluating the research strength of global business schools. The ranking is calculated based on the total number of publications in 24 top-tier business journals and the authors’ contributions over a five-year period. Released annually, the ranking is widely recognized in the global management education community. The 24 top-tier business journals included in the UTD rankings cover various research areas, including Management Science, Operations Management, Organizational Science, International Business, Information Systems, Marketing, Finance, and Accounting.
