Luxury Brand Management

Luxury brand management module is primarily a marketing and branding course on the specificities of luxury and premium brand management compared to FMCG and mass market brands. But it is also a course that deals with strategic issues as well as financial issues as the business of luxury has become more and more complex with the importance of M&A, public financing but also PE and VC funding. Last but not least, it also deals with leadership as it will unveil the secrets of selling luxury and the importance of leadership and pro-active luxury service.

Denis Morisset

Personal Profile:Denis Morisset has been teaching luxury marketing, luxury brand management and luxury hotel management since 2004 in Essec Business School in France as well as several top business schools in China. Before that, he had a 25 years career in the luxury industry, was COO of Ralph Lauren Europe, CEO of Balmain, President of shoes group Sac, MD of Giorgio Armani France, etc. His first business trips to China date back to 1996 when he was president of French shoes group Sac with licensed shoes brands like Kenzo, Givenchy, Disney, Elle. He lived part time in Beijing between 2011 and 2019. Prof Morisset is active on social media in China and published many educational videos on luxury brands and luxury lifestyle on his bilibili channel as well as Red Book.

Research area:Morisset combines 25 years of professional experience at a MD/CEO level with 20 years of teaching, consulting and training in the luxury industry. He has been teaching luxury marketing since 2004 in Essec business school in Paris and Singapore, but also as a visiting professor in HK Poly U School of hotel and tourism management, Fudan university MBA & EMBA programs, Peking University (Guanghua MBA and Bimba at PKU), CUPL (Chinese University of Political science and law) and also SWUFE in Chengdu. He has been also a trainer for LVMH in HK, Shanghai and Singapore and delivers regularly in-house company trainings on luxury marketing to top luxury hotel fashion and jewelry brands, wines & spirits brands, hotel brands in Europe, China and in the USA.
