Reshaping the Landscape, Led by Sci-Tech Innovation: Reimagining the Future of China’s Economy | Inaugural China Chief Economist Forum × Fudan SoM Sci-Tech Innovation Forum
Global geopolitical competition is reshaping supply chains. The AI revolution is moving from "building" to "adapting." Chinese manufacturing is expanding beyond the "new three" into AI infrastructure, semiconductors, innovative drugs and otherd frontier sectors. Meanwhile, capital markets are redefining corporate value - technology, resilience and organizational capabilities are replacing scale and profits as new benchmarks for valuation.
At the same time, a new growth logic driven by total factor productivity is taking shape for China's 15th Five-Year Plan period. The rise of direct financing is converging with capital market reform, setting the stage for a systematic revaluation of Chinese assets. A new window for mergers and acquisitions is opening; new market capitalization management rules are taking effect; equity trust instruments are reshaping approaches to family succession; and exchange-rate movements and overseas expansion choices are influencing every major corporate decision. As macroeconomic shifts and near-term changes unfold simultaneously, information has never been more abundant - yet sound judgment has never been scarcer. For entrepreneurs, investors and decision-makers, what is truly needed is not more information, but the ability to cut through the noise and form high-quality judgments.
On August 22, Fudan University School of Management will join hands with the China Chief Economist Forum to present the inaugural China Chief Economist Forum × Fudan SoM Sci-Tech Innovation Forum. Thirteen chief economists will engage in dialogue with professors from Fudan SoM and leading industry figures, connecting the dots from macroeconomic trends to business practice and building a top-down chain of insight.

How will K-shaped divergence reshape the industrial landscape? Can debt resolution help the economy shed its burdens? How should strategic industries underpinning national strength develop amid geopolitical competition? How can Chinese manufacturing win globally amid exchange-rate shifts? How will paradigm changes reshape corporate valuation? Beyond the ultimate bubble, how should new quality productive forces be priced? The forum will also address some of the most pressing questions facing entrepreneurs today—including overseas expansion, M&A opportunities, market capitalization management and family succession.
On August 22, find the answers at Fudan University School of Management.
