Nike CEO advisor lends you an eye on Sino-US relations
Nike CEO advisor Dr. Joseph Ha set his foot back to the School of Management at Fudan University, and delivered a lecture, titled “The U.S. Presidential Campaign: The Future of China-U.S. Relations,” at the FUON Forum on April 17 evening.
On the sideline of the forum, Dr. Ha was conferred adjunct professor of the school.
It was the second time that Dr. Ha had been lecturing on the forum, and the topic this time was focused on conflicts and cooperation in the Sino-US relations.
He made it clear that the top issue in regard to the Sino-US conflicts is human rights.
He said that an internationally accepted knowledge of human rights is based on two sides: one is economic side, and the other is political side.
On the economic side, concerns are unarguably on food, clothing, housing, health, and education.
On the political side, the human rights issue seems to be the most sensitive and forbidden nut to crack on the stage of international relations.
Dr. Ha emphasized during his lecture that, the sports industry, especially the Olympic Games, should not bow to the pressure initiated from the human rights issue.
Economic balance is another important component of Sino-US relations, to be specified into China’s inflation, export business, and problems coming out of China-made products.
When it turned to the issues of Sino-US cooperation, Dr. Ha said that, it is China, instead of USA, that is playing a major role in six-party talks on North Korea’s nuclear weapons.
He said that it is a Chinese characterized road of development in China, different from the modes of Japan and Korea.
