School Hosts Opening Ceremony for 14th Intake of HKU-Fudan MBA (International) Program
On August 28, the opening ceremony for the 2011 intake of The University of Hong Kong – Fudan University MBA (International) Program was successfully held. More than 260 students – who are of the 14th intake since the launching of program in 1998 – were officially announced to start their MBA study in the School.
School's Associate Dean Zhiwen YIN was joined by Associate Dean Maurice Tse of Faculty of Business and Economics at HKU, as well as executive program directors from both schools and alumni, during the ceremony.

At the beginning of ceremony, the students were briefed about the histories of both century-long universities, and learned how to make MBA study arrangement and future development after the study.
Associate Dean YIN delivered a warm speech by saying that, the geographic locations of Hong Kong and Shanghai have respectively given HKU and Fudan unique advantages in cultivating high-caliber management elites, and the joint MBA program is an integration of both universities' outstanding resources which has set up a broader stage for the future development of the students.

He said to extend his warm welcome to the new students and express a sincere wish to them, and expected to integrate resources of both schools and foster more and more business professionals with persistent competitiveness and leadership talent.

The outstanding alumni, who have harvested extraordinary achievements in the career, also expressed their wishes to new students, and shared study experience with them.
Student representative also went up and expressed aspiration to combine theoretical study with practical work in the upcoming MBA study and turn into professionals with international visions. While the video clips at the end of ceremony showed the enthusiasm of the students actively participating in the orientation activities.
After the ceremony, the students took group photos with school leaders and professors.
