On April 21st, 2014, the Zhengli Campus Partnership Agreement Signing Ceremony was held.

Presided over by Dean Xiongwen LU of our School, the Ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests such as Professor Zhiwen ZHU, Party Secretary of Fudan University; Mr. Yuliang YANG, President of Fudan University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Xiaoman CHEN, Executive Vice President of Fudan; Professor Xiaoyuan FENG, Vice President of Fudan; Mr. Yin CHEN, Party Secretary of Yangpu District; Mr. Yujie ZHUGE, Governor of Yangpu District; President Yuliang ZHANG, Executive Vice President Jing XU, and Executive Vice President Weidong WU of Greenland Holding Group; Mr. Wei ZHANG, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Greenland Construction Group Co., Ltd.; Mr. Yuanfa GUAN, Chairman of Shanghai Yangpu Science and Technology Investment and Development Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Charles CHAN, Executive Director of Shui On Land Limited.

Dean Xiongwen LU introduced, “This Partnership Agreement Signing Ceremony will mark Greenland Group’s official undertaking of the Zhengli Campus Project of our School.”

Then Professor Zhiwen ZHU, Party Secretary of Fudan, delivered a speech and stressed the establishment of our School’s Zhengli Campus will be beneficial for School to improve its teaching conditions and lay a solid foundation for its development. The Zhengli Campus is expected to be able to promote closer connections among the campus, surrounding neighborhoods and Yangpu Science Park, enrich the cultural atmosphere of the city, stimulate the regional industrial structure upgrading, and facilitate the development of this national innovative pilot area in Yangpu District. “The Zhengli Campus Project of the School of Management, Fudan University, has received strong support from governmental officials at all levels and partners,” said Professor Zhiwen ZHU, extending his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Fudan to the Party Committee and District Government of Yangpu District, Greenland Group and Shui On Group.

Then Mr. Yin CHEN, Party Secretary of Yangpu District, made a speech and indicated that Fudan University has been a strong partner for Yangpu District in its continuous exploration of developmental transition models. Once completed, the Zhengli Campus of our School will become a highlight within the Fudan Innovation Corridor in Yangpu District. “Yangpu District looks forward to forging more partnerships with Fudan and creating more highlights like the campus. Shui On Group has brought new ideas for Yangpu and now it is joined by Greenland Group, another international group. Working together, the two groups will infuse more vibrant energy into Yangpu.”

Mr. Yuliang ZHANG, President of Greenland Holding Group, then made a speech. He first thanked Fudan University for its trust in Greenland Group. “I believe everyone in Greenland Group will dedicate every bit of their intelligence, diligence and resources in the construction of Zhengli Campus.” Mr. ZHANG also indicated that Greenland Group will further strengthen its exchanges and partnerships with Fudan University and Yangpu District.

Last but not least, Mr. Charles CHAN, Executive Director of Shui On Land Limited, delivered a speech, in which he indicated the Zhengli Campus is one of the major components of the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC). The location of the Zhengli Campus inside KIC is more than an integration of two physical spaces but an integration of cross-disciplinary thinking. Mr. Charles CHAN also expressed his hope that there will be more cooperation between KIC and our School.

After the speeches, the Agreement Signing Ceremony was successfully held under the witness of all the distinguished gussets.

To signify the further partnership between Fudan University and Greenland Group, President Yuliang YANG of Fudan and President Yuliang ZHANG of Greenland Group exchanged their gifts for each other.

With the gift exchange, the Zhengli Campus Project Partnership Agreement Signing Ceremony came to a successful conclusion, marking the milestone of actual construction in the establishment of our School’s Zhenli Campus.
