• MBA Students Visit Microsoft (China) Shanghai Technology Park

    Under the joint organization of Microsoft Corporation and the School’s CDO, out School’s 43 full-time MBA students attended Microsoft MACH Early Bird Career Talk, and visited Microsoft (China) Shanghai Technology Park.

    On the second floor of the Microsoft office building with a strong atmosphere of science and technology, Microsoft’s Campus Recruitment Project Manager Ms. Li SHEN, after a simple welcome ceremony, introduced the main agenda of that day’s activities: Microsoft’s strategy of development in China, introduction to the MACH MCE project, alumni sharing and a visit to the company.

     

    First, Director of Commercial Software of Microsoft Asia-Pacific Mr. Jian DONG introduced Microsoft’s course of growth, vision of development and real efforts. From Windows everybody is familiar with to Internet cloud computing and operating systems, office, Xbox and Surface that achieved great success in the US market, Mr. Jian DONG introduced Microsoft’s course of development and continuous innovation and change in development in detail, and at the same time shared Microsoft Corporation’s vision: helping all people and organizations achieve the extraordinary.

    Then, Ms. Anita who is in charge of Microsoft’s MACH project introduced the MACH MCE project for MBA students in detail. This project will recruit 200-300 full-time MBA students around the world every year, and China’s MACH MCE project will specially provide post rotation and training in more than one year. Anita introduced in detail the three stages of post rotation, which take place in China, the United States and a third country. Working in such an environment of internationalized post rotation is full of challenges, and at the same time provides MBA students with learning opportunities and space for growth. After being recruited, they need to quickly learn about Microsoft’s scope of business and organizational framework, and assume their roles and carry out work as soon as possible. In the course of the whole program, Microsoft will assign corresponding supervisors and managers to give help and guidance to new employees. Besides, Ms. Anita also briefly introduced the project’s posts and standards of employment, and answered questions on recruitment and job application.

    Next, alumnus of the MBA Program Milo YAN shared his course of growth in the MACH project and his work experience at Microsoft. Alumnus YAN joined Microsoft’s MACH MCE project in 2011. He was a member of the first Chinese MACH project, and is now a cloud computing partner and manager.

    At last, the students visited Microsoft’s office area and leisure area in two groups, directly experienced Microsoft’s good office environment and strong atmosphere of employee care, and were deeply attracted by Microsoft’s culture and atmosphere.
