Our School Obtains EQUIS Five-year Accreditation Again
Recently, our School was officially notified by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) that it was granted a five-year accreditation period again. EQUIS accreditation includes three-year accreditation and five-year accreditation. Five-year accreditation is the highest EQUIS evaluation, showing our School not only fully complies with the standards of EQUIS accreditation, but also obtains a leading position internationally.
Our School participates in international accreditation in order to fully examine and continuously improve the quality of the School’s management, scientific research and teaching. The obtainment of another five-year accreditation period is recognition of the overall excellence of our School and also an affirmation from the EFMD of the development and progress of our School in terms of curricular development, scientific research, faculty development, teaching and administration procedures and hardware environment development.
In the past ten years, our School made a series of important achievements in curricular development, faculty development, scientific research and teaching. Our School remained steadily among the world’s top 50 on the MBA and EMBA rankings of Financial Times, and remained among the world’s top 100 and No. 1 in mainland China on the UTD Worldwide Business School Research Rankings.
Since 2008, our School has participated in and obtained accreditation of business and management education from three most authoritative institutions both at home and abroad: AACSB accreditation, EQUIS accreditation and Chinese advanced management education accreditation (CAMEA). AACSB, jointly started by top US universities, is the most authoritative North American accreditation for business school quality evaluation. EQUIS is the strictest European quality accreditation system. From 2008 to 2010, our School was awarded authoritative international EQUIS accreditation and AACSB accreditation successively at the fastest speed in the world. CAMEA is the first professional degree education accreditation jointly started and organized by the China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center and the China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee. Our School’s experience in international accreditation provided important references for the launch of CAMEA, and it became one of the first schools to obtain the accreditation in 2012.
In this new era full of challenges and opportunities, our School will work hard to promote continuous progress in Chinese management education and realize the strategic goal of building the School into one of the top business schools in the world.
