    Dec 3, 2019

Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony of FDSM-LBS Master in Finance (MF) Program was held at School of Management, Fudan University on November 29, 2019. The ceremony was attended by Dean Xiongwen LU, Associate Dean Changjiang LYU of School of Management, Fudan University, François Ortalo-Magné, Dean of London Business School (LBS), and Mrs. Ingrid Kwok, Founder of iKwok Fund.

Dean Xiongwen LU extended his warm welcome and gratitude to all the guests in his speech at the ceremony. He mentioned that the Global MiM double degree program launched jointly with LBS in 2014 is a great success. The signing of the new dual degree program (Master in Finance) will further enhance the in-depth communication and cooperation between the two schools, and also greatly benefits both sides in cultivating business elites and promoting economic development.

François, Dean of London Business School, expressed his gratitude to FDSM. He believes that the new dual degree program jointly launched with FDSM is in line with the development strategy of LBS. “It's not just a program. It's more like a process of seeds growing into trees and then into a forest. What we need to do is to ensure that the seeds can sprout and grow”, said Dean François.

In her speech, Mrs. Ingrid Kwok mentioned that the program is a win-win for both parties. She thinks students can truly understand the different social and market environment after living and studying in different cultural backgrounds. At the same time, the program can help students form a global mindset, and enhance the friendly relationship between China and the UK.

Under the witness of the faculty and students, Dean Xiongwen LU signed the cooperation agreement with Dean François Ortalo-Magné and Executive Director Arnold Longboy of LBS.

Before signing the agreement, the two sides reviewed their cooperation on the Global MiM double degree program launched in 2014. Over the past five years, the two schools work together in close cooperation to provide students with best service. The GMiM graduates have gained a good reputation in the job market, and the average starting salary has increased by double digits every year. In particular, Chinese students have achieved remarkable performance in the job market as their average starting salary (440,000) has exceeded the overall average starting salary of the LBS MiM program. The successful cooperation of the Global MiM program further strengthens the confidence of both sides in the success of the new Master in finance (MF) program.
