• Fudan MBA Program Ranked Top 30 in the FT Global MBA Ranking

    On February 17, 2025, the Financial Times (FT) released its Global MBA Ranking 2025, with Fudan MBA program ranked 30th worldwide. In several key metrics, Fudan MBA program ranked among the top, including: a salary percentage increase of 209%, maintaining a leading position globally for six consecutive years; 5th globally for career progress, holding a top position in Asia for eight consecutive years; 7th globally for career services, leading in Asia for five consecutive years; academic research consistently ranked 1st among business schools at universities in Chinese mainland and leading in Asia; and overall alumni satisfaction consistently leading in Asia for many years.

    In this year's FT Global MBA Ranking, Fudan MBA program has maintained its position as the top academic research performer among business schools in Chinese mainland and, for the first time, has entered the global top 60. The program's steady improvement in research strength signifies that the faculty's academic level is among the best worldwide. This research capability provides Fudan MBA students with a deep and cutting-edge knowledge system, ensuring they possess both a solid theoretical foundation and the practical skills needed to navigate future business transformations.

     

    According to the UTD “Top 100 Business School Research Rankings (2019-2023),” School of Management at Fudan University (Fudan SoM) has achieved a ranking of 70th worldwide and has maintained its position as No.1 in Chinese mainland, consistently remaining in the global top 100 for nine consecutive years.

     

    In recent years, Fudan SoM has achieved impressive results in securing National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, with a total of 69 projects approved by September 2024. These include 14 high-level funding projects such as major initiatives, consecutively approved key projects, and talent projects, highlighting our School's strong performance in research and innovation.

     

    Behind these impressive achievements lies the robust research strength accumulated by Fudan SoM over the years. Adhering to the research comcept of “rooted in China,” our School encourages responsible original research by faculty, improves research systems, and fosters a strong research atmosphere. The proportion of high-level research outcomes addressing significant real-world issues in Chinese enterprises published in top international journals has been increasing annually.

     

    Standing at the forefront of the times, Fudan SoM has been deeply exploring academic research in conjunction with the latest practices in China's business development, yielding fruitful results. Particularly since the comprehensive implementation of its sci-tech innovation strategy in 2020, our School has pioneered original and systematic theoretical research on management issues faced by sci-tech innovative enterprises, providing strong support for their growth and offering MBA students at the forefront of sci-tech innovation a solid and advanced theoretical knowledge system.

    In this FT ranking, Fudan MBA program leads Asia in career development-related sub-indicators: it ranks 5th globally for career progress, maintaining a top position in Asia for eight consecutive years, and 7th globally for career services, holding a leading position in Asia for five consecutive years. Career development guidance and services have long been a hallmark and advantage of Fudan MBA education, with career service indicators consistently ranking among the top in Asia over the years.

     

    In 1999, our School established the first Career Development Office (CDO) among the business schools of universities in Chinese mainland. By integrating resources and engaging throughout the process, the CDO provides comprehensive and high-quality career development guidance and services, helping students prepare for the rapidly changing job market.

     

    The CDO continues to enhance its guiding role in students' career development. Beyond traditional business career paths, our School has recently focused on the demand for management talent in emerging industries such as technology and ESG. It has strengthened collaborations with leading TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications) companies to offer students practical courses and direct interview opportunities, enabling them to quickly enter new fields.

     

    By expanding industry dimensions, our School provides students with more diverse career exploration opportunities, further helping them stand out in a diverse job market. Meanwhile, graduates' salary levels have steadily increased, with the Fudan MBA program achieving a 209% salary percentage increase in this FT ranking, maintaining a leading position globally for six consecutive years.

     

    In 2020, our School launched the “Sci-tech Innovation Drives the Future” strategy, aiming to empower the growth and transformation of Chinese sci-tech innovative enterprises through management. Under this strategy, Fudan MBA program has made significant efforts in both building a curriculum for sci-tech innovation management and cultivating management talents for sci-tech innovative enterprises, providing the senior management talent that these companies urgently need.

     

    Fudan MBA program has pioneered the “Fudan MBA Sci-Tech Innovation Youth Camp,” dedicated to providing targeted sci-tech innovation management education for MBA students who are active in or aspire to enter the sci-tech innovation sector, supporting “young elites” on their path to becoming “future leaders.” Since its launch in September 2022, our School has adopted a unique “academic + corporate” dual mentorship system. This system focuses on three major tracks: biomedicine and healthcare, next-generation information technology and AI, and new materials, new energy, and advanced manufacturing and equipment. It aims to develop a cutting-edge sci-tech innovation curriculum that comprehensively enhances students' judgment, insight, execution, and leadership in addressing management challenges in sci-tech innovative enterprises.

     

    In the internationalization metrics of this FT ranking, the proportion of international students in Fudan MBA program has reached its highest level since evaluation began. The program has consistently aligned itself with world-class standards in its international development efforts. By expanding diverse international exchange and cooperation channels, and offering long-term, medium-term, and short-term international exchanges, it provides students with a rich overseas learning experience.

     

    Under the backdrop of Chinese enterprises going global, “talent going global” has become a new trend.
