• NYU Silver School of Social Work Visits School of Management at Fudan University

    On March 26, 2025, Michael A. Lindsey, Dean of the NYU Silver School of Social Work, led a delegation to visit School of Management at Fudan University (Fudan SoM). Dean Lu warmly welcomed them and had discussions with them on deepening international cooperation and promoting interdisciplinary research.

     

    Founded in 1960, the NYU Silver School of Social Work is a top-tier school committed to training professionals who can practice at the individual, family, group, and global community levels. It ranks 12th in the U.S. according to U.S. News & World Report and is renowned for its small-class instruction, interdisciplinary research, and global practice programs. The research findings from the school’s Center on Data Science and Social Equity have a broad influence in the international academic community.

     

    During the meeting, both Deans exchanged views on the latest strategic development of their respective schools, engaged in an in-depth discussion on topics such as interdisciplinary research between social work and business management, and reached a preliminary consensus on future cooperation. Ruopeng An, Director of the Constance and Martin Silver Center on Data Science and Social Equity at NYU Silver School of Social Work, and Minchao Jin, Clinical Associate Professor at NYU Silver's MSW Program, participated in the meeting. Tianjun Feng, Assistant Dean, Cheng Zhang, Assistant Dean, and representatives from the International Office of our School also joined the meeting.

     

    Before the meeting, Dean Lindsey and his delegation visited Zhengli Campus of our School. They gained a detailed understanding of the planning concept and functional layout of this open-education business complex. They highly praised the innovative practice of the “Three-Zone Synergy” among the university campus, technology park, and public community.

     

    Both sides expressed that they will take this visit as an opportunity to jointly promote the interdisciplinary development of social sciences and business management.
