Fudan University School of Management Convened the Second Plenary Meeting of the Third International Advisory Board
The Second Plenary Meeting of the Third International Advisory Board of School of Management at Fudan University was held on October 25 at the Zhengli Campus.

Li Jin, President of Fudan University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chairman of the Third International Advisory Board of School of Management, presided over the meeting. Jin Li noted that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the School's re-establishment, and its achievements embody the wisdom of successive International Advisory Board members, and the School's future development is highly dependent on the vision and insight of the current International Advisory Board members. As the School's highest-level think-tank, the International Advisory Board serves as a vital bridge connecting the School with the world's leading business and management practices. In the current era of profound global change, the members' foresight and valuable insights are especially important for the future development of the School and indeed for the advancement of management education in China.

Xiongwen Lu, Dean of the School of Management at Fudan University, reported to the International Advisory Board on the achievements of the School over the past year and its future development strategy in areas such as faculty development, scientific research, sci-tech innovation, talent cultivation, international exchange, and the use of the Zhengli Campus. He also introduced the series of events celebrating the School's 40th anniversary.

PhD student Xintong Wang, DDIM Master's student Richard Zhiyou Schulz, undergraduate Sining Zhao, and international exchange student Caitlyn Fischli from University of St. Gallen jointly recognized the valuable opportunities provided by the School, including the faculty guidance, international exchange and cross-cultural learning. They noted that the School's cultivation system integrates international academic standards with local in-depth research. This approach has effectively enhanced cross-cultural collaboration, deepened their understanding of Chinese business practices, helped them dispel cultural stereotypes, and fostered enduring transnational friendships. These experiences have significantly elevated their global vision, professional competencies, and international competitiveness.




Following the student presentations, the board members, as well as representatives of some members, offered opinions and suggestions on the development of the School. Li Jin delivered the closing remarks.
The International Advisory Board of School of Management at Fudan University was established with the support and guidance of Lanqing Li, the School's distinguished alumnus, former Member of Standing Committee of Politburo of CPC Central Committee, and former Vice Premier of the State Council, as well as the support of Fudan University. Since its establishment in 2013, the International Advisory Board has played a significant role in enhancing the School's talent cultivation, academic research, international reputation, and influence. It serves as the highest-level and most authoritative think tank of School of Management at Fudan University. It is an important link for establishing extensive connections and deep cooperation between the School and various sectors both domestically and internationally.
The First and Second International Advisory Boards were chaired by Zhili Chen, former Vice Chairman of National People's Congress and former State Councilor. Both Boards have completed their terms, during which they provided guidance for the improvement of the School's development plans and made significant contributions to advancing the School towards becoming a leading world-class business school.
The Third International Advisory Board is composed of one Chairman, three Vice Chairmen, five Honorary Members, and sixteen Members. The Board brings together distinguished and influential members from the business and academic communities across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
Li Jin, President of Fudan University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, serves as Chairman of the Board.
