• Inauguration of Fudan Center for Collaborative Innovation in Management and Rule-of-Law

    The First Forum on Collaborative Innovation in Management and Rule-of-Law Was Held

    On December 28, 2025, the First Management and Rule-of-Law Collaborative Innovation Forum was successfully held at the Zhengli Campus of  School of Management at Fudan University (Fudan SoM). The forum was jointly organized by Fudan SoM and the Institute of Forensic Science at Fudan University, during which the two institutions officially announced the establishment of the Fudan Center for Collaborative Innovation in Management and Rule-of-Law.


    The forum brought together representatives from national supervision and judicial systems, Xinhua News Agency, the Law School of Fudan University, East China University of Political Science and Law, the Law School of Tongji University, the Third Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, Nanjing Police College, as well as numerous alumni of Fudan SoM, and prominent entrepreneurs. 


    The forum was chaired by Professor Liyin Jin, Assistant Dean and Chair of the Department of Marketing at Fudan SoM.

    In his opening remarks, Professor Xiongwen Lu, Dean of Fudan SoM, noted that alumni of the School are widely active across manufacturing, finance, science and technology innovation, and service industries, serving as a vital driving force in China's economic development. He emphasized that China is currently at a critical stage of high-quality development, where both social governance and enterprise growth face increasingly complex challenges. The joint establishment of Fudan Center for Collaborative Innovation in Management and Rule-of-Law represents a strategic response to these challenges and a necessary step in serving national development priorities.

    Professor Chengtao Li, Dean of the Institute of Forensic Science, Fudan University, stated in his address that as the comprehensive advancement of the rule of law continues to deepen, China's rule-of-law development has entered a new phase, placing higher demands on the integrated coordination of scientific management, efficient governance, and precise judicial practice. Management and the rule of law, he noted, function like the two wheels of a vehicle or the two wings of a bird—jointly driving high-quality economic and social development while strengthening the foundations of fairness and justice. Against this backdrop, the two institutions decided to jointly build a collaborative innovation platform based on shared responsibilities and long-term vision. This initiative represents not only interdisciplinary integration, but also a strategic innovation aimed at addressing real-world complexities.

    During the keynote session, Professor Ruoshan Li of Fudan SoM, delivered a presentation entitled Corporate Internal Control and Risk Management, sharing his in-depth perspectives. Xiaoguang Feng, former Director-General of the Sixth Prosecutorial Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, delivered a comprehensive report on Criminal Legal Protection of Market Economy Entities.

    The roundtable discussion was moderated by Professor Ai Ma of China University of Political Science and Law, a specially appointed expert of the Institute of Forensic Science, Fudan University. Participants included Xiaodong Wang, former Presiding Judge of the Second Criminal Division of the Supreme People's Court; Professor Ruoshan Li of Fudan SoM; Zhiying Huang, alumnus and Chairman of Delin Holdings China; Lizhong Bai, alumnus and Founder and CEO of Shanghai Wendao Cloud Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd.; and Yifu Xu, alumnus, Vice President of Hengrui Medicine, and Vice Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. The panel engaged in a constructive and dynamic discussion on the theme of Social Justice, Business Civilization, and Secure Enterprise Development.


    Subsequently, Shiquan Liu, Director of Fudan Center for Collaborative Innovation in Management and Rule-of-Law, introduced the Center's founding vision, core mission, principal research directions, and future operational mechanisms. The Center is positioned as an interdisciplinary research institution and high-level think tank. By integrating leading global academic and practical resources, it focuses on key areas including rule-of-law-oriented management practices, legal education and rights protection for entrepreneurs, modernization of judicial management, interdisciplinary research at the intersection of management and justice, high-end think tank development, and the enhancement of managerial capabilities among judicial professionals. The Center aims to generate innovative outcomes with significant theoretical value and practical impact.



    The Center's professional scope covers major criminal offenses, economic crimes, financial crimes, duty-related crimes, foreign-related crimes, entrepreneurial risk prevention, and the protection of overseas security interests of Chinese citizens and enterprises. Its activities will include frontier research, the development of high-level expert databases, management education and training for supervision and judicial personnel, technological innovation, and evidence analysis for complex and high-profile cases.


    Guided by principles of objectivity, scientific rigor, fairness, integration, and innovation, the Center is committed to strengthening the foundations of social security, advancing the rule of law and management modernization, and contributing Fudan University's intellectual strengths to national governance.


    At the conclusion of the forum, witnessed by all attendees, Professor Chengtao Li, Dean of the Institute of Forensic Science, Fudan University, and Professor Yimin Sun, Associate Dean of Fudan SoM, jointly unveiled the plaque of Fudan Center for Collaborative Innovation in Management and Rule-of-Law, marking its official establishment.
