As part of the MBA exchange program between Salzburg Management and Business School (SMBS) and Fudan School of Management, 17 International MBA Students together with FDSM professor Zhang Jie as the group leader have participated in the10-day Exchange Study Program in Salzburg.
During the study program, IMBA students had lectures about European political economy, legal procedures on establishment of an enterprise in Austria, as well as the tourism industry in Austria etc. All of the lectures were given by professors and experts in different fields, from various organizations.

Besides lectures took place in classroom, there were many visits and tours help Fudan Students to understand the different aspects of the Austrian politics, economy, culture and society.

The “Sound of Music” tour let the students perceive the real beauty of the Austrian scenery, and help them understand the unique features of Austrian tourism and the important role of tourism business in Austrian economy;

By visiting the Mozart’s Residence and the Mozarteum University, IMBA students met many talented students in music and dramatic arts and had the opportunity to visit one of the music classes;

The study program also offered a company visit for each participant. One of the Companies was Austrian Raiffeisen Banking Group, one of the largest local banks in Salzburg. During the visit, Students learned the concept of cooperative banking, which was applied by Raiffeisen. Basically, cooperative banks were owned by their customers and followed the principle of one shareholder, one vote. This company visit and the communication with the head of correspondent banking, Fritz Buchmüller, helped students to learn the way of RZB to success. Knowing that Raiffeisen Zentral bank had started its business in China, students all agree that the China Business will be a new business growing point for RZB.

All of the IMBA students successfully delivered their final presentations and said that they benefited a lot from the ten-day General management exchange program. We believe more and more students will benefit from the international cooperation of School of Management with many international business schools.
