This year marks the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of School of Management at Fudan University, a milestone that reflects the School's sustained development over four decades and the enduring commitment of its alumni.

Recently, a symposium for the Sci-tech Innovation Trailblazers Development Initiative and a donation ceremony were held at the Zhengli Campus of School of Management at Fudan University. Xing Liu, a 1988 undergraduate alumnus of the School and a Partner at HongShan, made a generous donation of RMB 3.6 million to establish the Sci-tech Innovation Trailblazers Development Fund, further supporting the School's efforts to advance its system of management education for science and technology innovation.

The ceremony was attended by Professor Xiongwen Lu, Dean of School of Management at Fudan University; Professor Yimin Sun, Associate Dean of School of Management at Fudan University; Ling Cen, Director of the Sci-tech Innovation Acceleration Center; Shaobin Duan, Director of the Alumni Relations Center; as well as other members of the School's leadership and administrative teams, who jointly witnessed this milestone moment of shared mission and legacy.

During the event, Yanyan Huang, Head of the Student Affairs Group and Secretary of the Youth League Committee; Xuan Huang, Associate Director of the MBA Program; and Chen Liu, Associate Director of the Sci-tech Innovation Acceleration Center, respectively introduced the current progress and future plans of the Youth Sci-tech Innovation Club, the Sci-tech iLab Program, and the Sci-Tech Innovation Entrepreneurs Management Research Initiative. The event was moderated by Song Jiang, Associate Director of the School Development and Donation Office.

In his remarks, Alumnus Xing Liu expressed his gratitude to his alma mater, reflecting on his years of study at the School. He noted that university education plays a critical role in shaping one's worldview and values, and in learning how to think about relationships between individuals and society. He emphasized that School of Management at Fudan University cultivated his comprehensive capabilities and laid the foundation for his professional development. He also expressed strong support for the School's comprehensive advancement of its Sci-tech Innovation Strategy.

Liu further remarked that the School has consistently remained at the forefront of the times, with a forward-looking understanding of the future of business education. He stated that it was a great honor for him, as an alumnus, to support the School's Sci-tech innovation initiatives, adding that the donation represented not only a recognition but also a sincere expression of gratitude and commitment to giving back.

On behalf of the School, Dean Xiongwen Lu expressed heartfelt appreciation to Alumnus Xing Liu for his strong support of the School's Sci-tech Innovation Strategy, particularly in the area of management education for sci-tech enterprises. He emphasized that alumni are regarded as the School's most valuable asset and most steadfast partners in long-term development.

Looking ahead, Dean Lu noted that the Sci-tech Innovation Trailblazers Development Fund will empower the School's sci-tech innovation ecosystem along three key dimensions of selection, cultivation, and leadership development. First, it will support interdisciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship practices to nurture emerging young innovators. Second, it will support the Sci-tech iLab Program to cultivate interdisciplinary talent with capabilities in technology, markets, and management. Third, it will support sci-tech entrepreneurs in conducting management research, helping technology leaders grow into accomplished business leaders.

Dean Lu concluded that Sci-tech innovation represents a forward-looking global vision for business, and that Sci-tech Innovation Trailblazers embody a major mission of the times. The support of alumnus Xing Liu provides valuable momentum for the School's continued efforts. Only through collective commitment, he noted, can the School uphold its mission of enabling and leading sci-tech innovation through management education -- an enduring aspiration that continues to guide its path forward.
