Dean Xiongwen Lu, Fudan University School of Management, Leads Delegation to the 29th GNAM Deans & Directors Meeting, Followed by a Visit to ESCP Business School
Recently, the 29th Deans & Directors Meeting of the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) was held at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy. Deans and representatives from 33 leading business schools worldwide, including Yale School of Management and Oxford Saïd Business School, gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as innovation in global curricula, the synergy between artificial intelligence and business education, and the integration of geopolitics into business education. Participants also exchanged views on the future development of business schools, talent development models, and international collaboration in a rapidly evolving global environment.
As one of only two GNAM member schools in Chinese Mainland, Fudan University School of Management was invited to attend the meeting, with Dean Xiongwen Lu heading the delegation.

During the discussions, Dean Lu shared the School's experiences in AI-enabled teaching and curriculum system innovation, as well as its explorations in international talent cultivation. He also exchanged views with fellow deans on strengthening global collaboration and expressed the School's willingness to deepen partnerships across the network. Participants reached consensus on a range of issues, helping advance several international collaboration initiatives involving the School.

During the meeting, it was also announced that the 31st GNAM Deans and Directors Meeting will be hosted by Fudan University School of Management in April 2027. On behalf of Fudan SoM, Dean Lu sincerely invited colleagues from around the world to attend the meeting next year. Fudan SoM will continue to deepen practical cooperation with leading business schools worldwide and contribute to the international development and international influence of Chinese business education.
Founded by Yale School of Management, the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) is a consortium of 33 member schools from around the world. Unlike fragmented project-based cooperation between individual institutions, the network is designed to facilitate multi-level resource sharing and collaboration across member schools. It provides a high-level international platform supporting faculty and student visits, joint research, collaborative case development, student exchanges, and other forms of academic cooperation. GNAM holds two deans' meetings each year, one online and one in person. The in-person meeting is hosted on a rotating voluntary basis by member schools. Dean Laulusa has visited Fudan University School of Management on several occasions. During this latest meeting, the two sides focused on opportunities to further strengthen joint talent development initiatives and reached a shared understanding on advancing practical cooperation.
The visit further consolidated the School's partnership network in Europe and contributed to deeper exchanges and coordinated collaboration between Chinese business education and European business education. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to jointly developing high-quality international platforms for talent cultivation.
