Towards the close of the forum, Prof. Xiongwen LU presented commemorative plaques of appreciation to the guests.
Following the forum, faculty members shared their on‑site reflections.
Prof. Rong HUANG, Li Dasan Chair Professor in the Department of Accounting, remarked that the panel members' sharing on globalization, technological competition and corporate development was highly illuminating. In particular, the concept of "Guardrailed Globalization" prompted her deeper reflections on shifts in today's global competitive landscape.
Prof. Yifan DOU from the Department of Information Management and Business Intelligence noted that Mr. Alvin HU's remarks on "connection" and Dr. Gerald YIN's viewpoint that technology implementation and application should align with human nature offered great inspiration. This prompted him to further consider how to better aggregate and leverage existing organizational knowledge in enterprise‑level large‑language‑model applications.
Prof. Zhiguo XIAO from the Department of Statistics and Data Science commented that the guests delivered incisive, pragmatic and occasionally humorous remarks from diverse perspectives covering international relations, global value chains and corporate development. Their viewpoints resonated with the forum theme "Rebuild Connections", and deepened his understanding of the responsibility and value of School of Management at Fudan University in facilitating international exchanges, driving industrial innovation and building bridges for cooperation.
Associate Prof. Xiang SHAO from the Department of Applied Economics stated that the two keynote speeches by Ambassador Max BAUCUS and Prof. Yadong LUO gave him a more concrete understanding of "balance". He was inspired to think that amid external uncertainties, enterprises should sustain connections, exercise prudent judgement, and timely adjust their strategic layout and organizational capabilities.
Associate Prof. Mengran XU from the Department of Marketing was deeply impressed by the three key words — Tone, Balance and Respect — raised by Ambassador Max BAUCUS in his speech. The concepts resonated with her research and inspired her to explore how psychological mechanisms for understanding and respecting divergent stances can be extended to inter‑firm communication and cooperation, so as to build trust, seek consensus amid differences and achieve joint value creation.
Launched in 2014 by School of Management at Fudan University, the Fudan‑Si Yuan Global Leader Forum receives naming support from the Si‑Yuan Foundation founded by alumnus Mr. Tseng Tao Chen, Honorary Member of the International Advisory Board, and his wife Madam Chi Ming Hsu Chen.
